THE BREAST PUMP AND BREASTFEEDING
Chicco's electric breast pump helps extend breastfeeding,
in the event of excess milk or when you cannot always be
with your baby. In such cases you can extract milk, store it,
and give it to baby when required.
For maximum flexibility and convenience, the electric
Breast Pump works in both battery mode (lithium battery
supplied) and battery recharge mode, via USB cable direct-
ly connected to the PC.

SET-UP
• Before using the Breast pump for the first time, please
clean all the components* thoroughly as shown in the"-
CLEANING" paragraph.
• Then assemble the breast pump as follows:
• Push the valve (5) down into the circular duct in the base
of the pump body (4). (Fig. 1)
Note: fit the valve preferably with the tab positioned inside
the pump body.
• Push the outer edge to prevent damaging the valve and
make sure that both closing edges of the assembled valve
are joined together. If not, reposition the valve, making
sure that the two edges are correctly aligned.
• For greater comfort, you can fit the silicone cover (3) onto
the pump body (4). Insert the silicone cover well into the
cone of the pump body, and seal it around the outer rim
of the pump body (Fig.2). Press the pads of the cover to
expel any air trapped inside.
• Fit the membrane cover (2) onto the silicone membrane
(1) and insert the membrane and cover (pre-assembled)
onto the pump body (4) (Fig.3)
• Screw the NaturalFeeling feeding bottle (6) onto the
threaded base of the pump body (4).(Fig.4)
• Use the practical base to lay the assembled product on a
flat, stable surface.
• To use or charge the breast pump with its USB cable, at-
tach the USB cable plug (9) to the USB cable input on the
motor body (12) and then connect the USB connector of
the USB cable (10) to the PC as indicated in this manual.
• Connect the silicone tube (19) to the membrane cover (2)
(Fig.6).
• Insert the end of the silicone tube (19) into the appropri-
ate inlet on the motor body (11) (Fig.7).
*Excluding the motor body (12)(Fig. 5), USB cable (9,10) and
silicone tube (19).

USING THE BREAST PUMP

• Before each use, sanitise all the components* with a cold
sanitizing method using sterilising liquids (following the
manufacturer's instructions), or a hot one (steam) using
specific devices, or by boiling them (5 minutes), and let-
ting all the hot sanitized components fully cool down
before use.
• Wash your hands and assemble the breast pump as
shown in the PREPARATION paragraph.
• Cleanse your breast appropriately using water or one of
the handy Chicco breast cleansing wipes
• Sit down comfortably and relax.
Note: while using the breast pump, to ensure correct op-
eration of the appliance, take care not to cover the hole on
the left-hand side of the pump body (4) with your hand.
Note: when switched on, the breast pump always starts
in stimulation mode to facilitate milk extraction, using the
factory settings (level 1). The led indicator light (14) is blue
and steady.
Note: To avoid all danger deriving from spilt liquid (milk), we
recommend that you never fill the feeding bottle beyond
the highest level indicated on its graduated scale.
• Fit the cup over your breast ensuring that the nipple is
centred properly. You can use the breast pump both with
and without the soft silicone cover (3); We recommend
trying both configurations before choosing the best and
most comfortable one for you.
• In battery mode, switch on the breast pump by pressing
the on/off button (15) on the motor body (13), the LED
indicator (14) will switch on with a steady blue light.
• After approximately 3 minutes of stimulation, the ap-
pliance automatically switches to the extraction mode
(factory setting) and the LED indicator switches on with
a white light.
• You can stop stimulation at any moment and switch to the
expression stage and vice versa by pressing the stimula-
tion/extraction button (16).
• If necessary, repeat stimulation by pressing the stimula-
tion/extraction button (16) again. Press the stimulation/
extraction button (16) to return to extraction.
• You can use the "+" (17) and "-" (18) buttons on the keypad
to adjust stimulation/extraction based on the level of pull
perceived on your breast and/or based on the amount of
milk expressed. Each time you change level, the LED in-
dicator (14) will blink once with a blue or white light de-
pending on the chosen mode. We recommend adjusting
the extraction/stimulation rate gradually until you reach
the level best suited to you.
• If the level of extraction/stimulation chosen causes dis-
comfort or pain, reduce it to a suitable level by pressing
the "-" button (18).
• You can alternate milk extraction from both breasts.
• Press the on/off button (15) to switch the breast pump off.
WARNING: After 30 minutes of use, the appliance switches
off automatically for safety reasons.
In case of low battery the LED indicator light (14) will start
blinking white during extraction mode, and blue during
