electric assisted pedalling (e-bikes) if, following a
discharge-based shut-down of the support drive,
an uninterrupted power supply to the lighting
system is ensured for at least two hours, or if the
drive motor can be used temporarily as a genera-
tor in order to continue to supply power
to the lighting system.
Tail light(s) and headlamps may only be switched
on together if they are operated with the help of a
lighting dynamo.
The light is switched on/off using the bike control
unit with pedal assistance.
Mounting:
Mount the headlight with the enclosed bracket on the bicycles
triple clamp in a way that the cone of light reach the road 10 m
ahead of the bike.
The following mounting heights apply to headlamps on bicycles:
min. height: 400mm
max. height: 1200mm
When mounting the light, make sure that the screws are only
fixed so tightly that the position of the light can not be removed
by itself (i.e. torque required for adjustment > 5 Nm).
The adjustment of the headlamp on the bicycle must be such
that others road users are not dazzled its light.
Bicycles must be equiped with at least one forward-facing white
retro-reflector.
