Measuring temperature at the forehead
To determine body temperature at the forehead make sure that the probe
cover is in place. In case of display of time or environmental temperature
press the power/scan button. The unit beeps once and the latest temperature
determination is displayed. Now press the power/scan button again and the
symbol for measurement at the forehead will be shown. To start measuring
hold the device to the forehead and at the same time press the power/scan
button. After completion of measuring the device will beep once again and the
body temperature is displayed. A few seconds later the device shuts off and
returns to the time/environmental temperature mode.
Optimum measuring conditions
The thermometer is equipped with a function to optimise the conditions during
measuring procedure. In case the device is not ready for measuring yet,
either the ear or the forehead measuring mode symbol illuminates (see
picture) and the unit expels short, quick, consecutive signal tones. (Press the
power/scan button to stop temperature measuring). Do not continue with the
measuring procedure until the symbol is unlit or as long as the signal tone
sounds.
