2. Installation instructions according collection: Cosiburner Build up
The Cosi Build up burner is supplied complete with pressure regulator and gas hose. You only need to purchase
a propane gas bottle. These can be purchased at your local gas supplier.
1. Installing the Cosi Build up burner
Get your Cosi Build up burner carefully from its packaging. Select the location for your Cosi Build up burner. The
location must meet the following conditions:
-
Make sure that the Build up burner is placed on a unflammable surface. The surface should be
completely flat and clean. The Build up burner may not installed in materials which conduct the heat.
Don't place the build in burner in steel, metal of glass surface.
-
The Cosi Build up burner should be placed at least two meters away from flammable materials and
liquids.
2. Placing lava rocks and optionally ceramic logs
If the Cosi Build up burner is installed properly, you can place lava rocks and optionally ceramic logs (not included,
seperately available) on the top. Every Cosi is delivered with small and large lava rocks included. Take the small
lava rocks without grit and place it gently on the model Repeat the same with the big lava rocks and make sure
it is covered with lava rocks. Keep the space around the ignition unit free of lava rocks and ceramic
If you place ceramic logs, it is recommended to lay them as a campfire in the fire ring. Make sure the fire ring is
minimal covered by the logs. When the logs block the fire ring, there will be a dangerous situaties. The blockade
of the fire ring will affect the air flow of the ring and the flames will be different. This results in dangerous
situations! If you want to order more lava rocks or ceramic logs, this is possible at your purchase address.
Pay Attention! When you are going to use the Cosiburner Build up for the first time, make sure that the device
is turned at the highest setting for 15 minutes. In this way, the lava rocks are heated through and this ensures
that any bumps or air bubbles will disappear from the lava rocks. During the first time the Cosiburner Build up is
turned on or when the lava rocks have been wet (after some rain), keep at least two meters away from the
burner and also ensure that no flammable materials are placed around or on the table within this radius of two
meters. Because the air bubbles are burned from the lava rocks, the rocks can jump up during the first time /
when lava rocks have been wet and possibly come out of the burner.
When you want to move or clean up the lava rocks and ceramic logs, always make sure that they have cooled
down completely.
The lava rocks and logs can scorch black in time. This has to do with soot formation which always occurs in devices
that show a yellow flame. This soot can be removed by blowing / vacuuming with a vacuum cleaner. The soot
may also be brushed off with a dry brush.
3. Placing the gas bottle
Cosi Build up burners are only tested and legal with propan gas. Make sure you bought a propan gasbottle.
Make sure the gasbottle stand stabile on a non flammable surface.
The supplied hose has a length of 1.5 m. Therefore, the gas bottle should be placed at a maximum distance of 1
meter away from the Cosiburner. People, children and pets can trip over the hose, so place the hose outside of
the walking area, where children and pets can't reach it. Connect the gas bottle to the supplied pressure regulator
and open the gas bottle if you want to use the Cosiburner. When you are not using the built in burner make sure
the gas valve on the gas bottle is turned off.
