Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use!
Placement
Consider the following when selecting a location for the installation of the PIR detector:
1. The detector is designed to provide optimum performance when placed 2.5 metres above ground
level.
2. Avoid placing the detector near bushes and trees that could generate false alarms in windy or rainy
weather.
3. Do not aim the detector at, or place it near, any heat sources such as chimneys, hot air ducts, etc.
that could generate false alarms.
4. Do not aim the detector at strong light sources as it will not work when you set the LUX control to
"darkness" (the symbol for crescent).
5. Do not place the detector near strong electromagnetic sources that could generate false alarms.
6. The detector is more sensitive to movement entering the detection range from the side than to
movement from straight towards or away from the detector. Position the detector accordingly.

Installation

Before starting the electrical work, check that the relevant mains power supply is turned off.
1. Remove the two screws and remove the backpiece and terminal block.
2. Screw the backpiece onto the base using the two screws.
3. Connect the power cables and load cables (e.g. to a floodlight) to the terminal block through the
rubber bushing.
4. Screw in the detector unit with the screws.
Termer:
Brown = Brun.
Blue = Blå.
Red = Röd.
Power input = Drivspänning.
Earth = Jord.
Connecting with load = Anslutning till belastning (t.ex. en strålkastare).
When installation is complete, you can set the detection range and the PIR detector's other functions.
