in Fig. B1.
4.2 Insert the three straps at the top of the headgear (c) in
the three slots in the main body (a), as shown in Fig. B2. Then
fasten the straps.
5 - HOW TO PUT THE MASK ON THE CHILD (Fig.C)
5.1 Place the mask gently on the child's face, making sure the
cushion (2) fits snugly round the nose. Pull the headgear over the
child's head, as shown in Fig. C1.
5.2 Place the hooks (8) in the frame (1) slits as shown in figure
C2. Then tighten the straps.
N.B: If needed, Respireo SOFT Child non vented can be installed
by removing the hooks (8) from the headgear (7) and inserting
the bottom belts of headgear (7) directly into the bottom slots of
the main body(a).
5.3 Position the headgear (7) comfortably on the child's head
and adjust all the straps, starting from the lower ones, as shown
in Fig. C3.
5.4 Connect the swivel fitting (5) to the respiratory circuit of the
ventilation unit as shown in figure C4. The child will be more
reassured and will accept the treatment more readily if the mask
is placed correctly before starting the ventilation unit. Switch on
the ventilation unit.
5.5 For optimal airtightness, and to remove any accidental
leakage around the bubble, the headgear may need to be
adjusted. To do so, gently tighten or loosen the straps starting
with the lower straps. Ensure the mask is attached securely to
the child's face without the straps being too tight.
N.B. The lower straps only serve to hold the mask in position, so
they must be kept fairly loose.

THE MASK) and wash carefully in warm water at about 30°C,
using mild soap. Rinse thoroughly under the tap and leave in the
air to dry, but not in direct sunlight.
8.2 – REPROCESSING THE MASK FOR RE-USE WITH
OTHER PATIENTS
N.B. The mask must always be regenerated before being used
by another patient.
