Installing the T-Sinus 154pcicard

Switch off the computer and any other units connected to it. Disconnect all cables leading to
■
the computer. Open the computer as described in the computer manual.
Take off the computer's case and position the computer so that the slots are easily accessible.

Undo the metal cover on the chassis of the computer for the slot in which you wish to install the
T-Sinus 154pcicard.
Touch a component such as a heat sink or the chassis of the computer to discharge any static.

You should only hold the card by its metal mount and its edges so far as possible. Avoid
■
contact with electronic components or tracks.

Reassemble the computer as directed in the computer manual. Connect up all the leads which
■
you previously disconnected.
Now screw the wireless antenna into the thread on the card.

Installing drivers (under Windows 98SE/ME)
■
Restart your computer. The drivers will now be installed and automatically incorporated into
■
the operating system.
You will now be prompted to restart the computer. Click on JA.
■
After the computer restarts the T-COM WLAN Manager appears.
■
Fit the T-Sinus 154pcicard into the slot so that the pin on
■
the metal mount locates in the eye in the chassis and the
hole marked '1' for the retaining screw is in the angled
section over the hole in the chassis.
Press the card into the PCI slot (2) until it seats firmly. The
■
connector strip on the card is provided with a coding
notch to match the slot.

Do not press too hard when fitting the card in its
slot. Never try and force it! The motherboard must
not bend as this may break the conductive tracks
on the board and destroy the computer!

When the card is located correctly, screw the metal
■
mount firmly to the chassis.
