Maintenance and cleaning

For cleaning and maintenance, the water f eature and, if applicable, the branch v alv e are remov ed to open the unit.
Recommendation regarding cleaning:
• Clean the unit as required but at least twice a y ear.
• When cleaning the pump, pay particular attention to the cleaning of the impeller unit and pump housing.
Do not use chemical cleaning agents. Chemical cleaning agents kill the dirt-consuming microorganisms in the
f ilter media and so reduce the f ilter perf ormance.
• Do not use aggressiv e cleaning agents or chemical solutions as they could attack the housing or impair the f unction
of the unit.
• Recommended cleaning agent f or remov ing stubborn limescale deposits:
– Vinegar- and chlorine-f ree household cleaning agent.
• Af ter cleaning, thoroughly rinse all parts in clean water.
Clean filter media
How to proceed:
1. Caref ully clean the remov ed f ilter media using clean tap water.
2. Also clean the upper f ilter shell and the f ilter subshell caref ully with clean tap water.
3. Assemble the unit.
Cleaning the filter pump/replacing the running unit
How to proceed:

1. Pull of f the f ilter housing and clean it with clear tap water.
2. Unscrew the pump lid and clean it with clear tap water.
3. Pull the running unit out of the pump housing, thoroughly clean it with clear tap water or replace the running unit.
4. Assemble the f ilter pump in the rev erse order.
5. Assemble the unit.

Storage/Over-wintering
Remov e the unit at temperatures below zero degrees centigrade. Thoroughly clean the unit, check f or damage and
store immersed in water in a f rost-f ree env ironment. Do not immerse the plug!
Disposal

Do not dispose of this unit with domestic waste.
• Render the unit unusable bef orehand by cutting the cables and dispose of the unit v ia the return sy stem
prov ided f or this purpose.
