Danger due to UV radiation
UV radiation is generated inside the device.
UV radiation is dangerous to the eyes and
skin. UV radiation can also damage plastics
and other materials in case of prolonged
exposure.
During operation, small amounts of UV
radiation are emitted from both sides of
the device. Staying too close to the sides
of the device for extended periods of time
can cause eye and skin damage.
X Operate the air disinfector only with the
lamp cover.
X Do not look into the UV radiation with
unprotected eyes.
X Position the device at a height of at
least 2.0 m or keep a distance of 1.3 m
to both sides.
User
This device is not intended for use by per-
sons, including children, with reduced phys-
ical sensory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge.
X Connect and operate the device out of
the reach of children.
X Persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experi-
ence and knowledge may only use this
device if they have been given supervi-
sion or instructions concerning use of
the device in a safe way and understand
hazards involved.
Mounting the standing device safely
If the device tilts or falls down, it can cause
personal injury and material damage.
X Place the device on a level surface so
that it is stable.
X Do not suspend any objects from the
device or place them on top of the
device.
X Lay the power cord in such a way that
the device cannot be pulled down
with it.
Mounting the wall-mounted device
safely
In case of incorrect mounting, the device
may fall down and cause personal injuries
and material damage.
X Mount the device on a suitable wall
only using suitable fastening elements.
Danger through unsuitable spare parts
Unsuitable spare parts can lead to injuries
and property damage.
X Only use spare parts approved by the
manufacturer.
Danger of corrosion
Operating the luminaire in damp rooms can
lead to property damage.
X Only operate in dry rooms.
X Do not immerse in liquids.
X If a liquid gets into the device, discon-
nect the device immediately from the
mains supply and have it checked by a
specialist.
