Many thanks for the confidence you have shown in our products. These
operating instructions are intended to ensure that the Schiltknecht measuring
instrument and probe remain in perfect operating condition and that fault-free
operation and operational safety is thereby guaranteed. For this reason, we
would therefore ask you to read carefully through these instructions before
putting the instrument into operation for the first time.
As soon as you unpack the instrument, please check whether there is any
mechanical damage. If you should discover any transport damage, please
report it immediately to the respective post office, or to the shipping agent in
your company.

Important Notes

Every instrument from the Schiltknecht company has a designed application
range. The transducers are also correspondingly developed and produced for
this specific range.
The calibration corresponds to the actual condition at the instant at which the
measurements are made. This condition will be affected by incorrect handling
and over longer measuring periods.
It must be ensured that
• the instrument is only operated by trained personnel
• the instrument is regularly serviced and calibrated
• no changes are made to the instrument, other than those described in
these operating instructions.
If the use of the instrument involves risks which could lead to damage for
which the Schiltknecht company could be held liable, it must be ensured that
the application and the possible dangers arising from it are reported to
•
Schiltknecht before using the instrument for the first time.
the regulations to be agreed with the Schiltknecht company regarding

operation, installation, maintenance and the monitoring of the
functionality are complied with.
If you are using the measuring instrument rarely, we do recommend an

annual function check in our company
