The manufacturer shall not be liable for damage arising from
incorrect use or uses other than the intended use.
1.3 Areas of risk and other risks
Sensors are connected to containers and pipes which could be
pressurised. Process fluid can only leak due to negligent behaviour
and improper use. The system should therefore be depressurised
and emptied completely before the sensor is removed.
Before starting up the sensor and after every maintenance,
make sure that all seals and connections are complete and in
good working condition.
Take appropriate safety precautions before touching the
sensor as parts of it can adopt the process temperature.
1.4 Equipment
Only use certified and approved accessories and equipment.
The STS sensor does not require elastomer seals. If you connect
the sensor to your process using an adapter, then
select the material properties of the process seal and the O-
rings depending on the process medium and the irrigation
fluid being used.
consider the seal material's swelling capacity and resistance
to acids and alkalis.
1.5 Staff
Only trained professionals may install and maintain the sensor!
Operators must wear safety goggles and suitable protective
clothing when starting up the sensor or carrying out maintenance
work.
