Preserving
• Preserving is a method to preserve food without any chemical additives. The generated
heat kills off any germs in the food. At the same time, the bottling jar will be sealed in a
germfree and airtight way due to the vacuum which is generated.
• For sterilizing, allow the food to be preserved to heat up to at least 100 degrees C (212°F).
To pasteurize, heat it up to 80 degrees C (176°F). Pasteurizing is sufficient if the appliance
is used in the household. Please use suitable bottling jars with screw caps or locking caps
with rubber seal rings.

Using the device for the first time

1. Fill in water (approx. 6 liters), set the Start/Stop knob to 100°C (212°F) and the timer knob
to 30 min.
2. Press the Start/Stop knob. The appliance will be heating up and the icon will be displayed
to indicate that the heater is switched on.
3. The heater will switch off once the set temperature has been reached.
4. You will see the set temperature in the upper left of the display, and the current
temperature is indicated below it.
5. The timer will automatically start counting down once the set temperature has been
reached. The icon will be displayed below the set time and indicates that the timer's
automatic system is counting down.
6. The appliance will automatically switch off once the set time has expired.
7. Allow the appliance to cool down and pour out the water.
8. Now the device is ready to use
IMPORTANT NOTE:
• The appliance is provided with a temperature sensor in its bottom to measure the current
temperature. Do not damage this sensor in a violent manner. A precise temperature
measurement is essential for a reasonable handling.
Cooking Process
• Close the fruit preserver with the lid. Adjust the temperature controller to the desired
heating level. Use the following tables when selecting a temperature setting.
• When the preserving phase is finished, switch the
temperature controller to OFF. Remove the power plug from
the wall socket.
• Position a heat resistant container under the pouring tap and
press the pouring lever down. The water drains itself. When
the water has drained out, allow the preserving jars to cool
down.
Workflow:
• Set the Start/Stop knob to the desired temperature as indicated in the reference chart (table
below) for preserving. Set the indicated time for preserving and press on the Start/Stop
knob. The heat symbol is shown, the preserver will now start heating up. The duration for
heating up can be up to 90 minutes. The timer starts counting down, when pre-set
temperature is reached.
