Start-up Guide
The CTI 140.DIO8 devices communicate with the com.tom POR-
TAL via Ethernet. The communication mechanism has a low data
volume and can be integrated easily in existing network infrastruc-
tures.
The device may be put into service and
operated by qualified personnel only.
The device is designed for an installation on a
grounded 35 mm DIN rail in dry rooms.
The power supply of the device must be a
grounded circuit PELV (connection between
functional earth and ground). The power
supply must be a limited power source ac-
cording to the EN60950-1 chap. 2.5 or must
be provided with an anti-surge fuse of 2 A.
The digital I/Os must be provided with a
detached anti-surge fuse of 4A.

Wire the com.tom device according to the technical data. Get
the appropriate

there to put your device into operation. When using the GPJ
power supply connector (labeled in white), only a com.tom
GRAPHIC device may be connected to Port ETH1.3/GPJ.
