Start-up Guide
The CTI 100.MIO16.UMTS devices communicate with the com.tom
PORTAL via UMTS modem or Ethernet. The communication mech-
anism has a low data volume and can be integrated easily in exist-
ing network infrastructures.
Device may only be put into service and operated by qualified
personnel.
The device is designed for an installation on
a grounded 35 mm DIN rail in dry rooms.
The power supply of the device must be a
grounded circuit PELV (connection between
functional earth and ground). The power
supply must be a limited power source
according to the EN60950-1 chap. 2.5 or
must be provided with an anti-surge fuse of
2 A. The digital I/Os must be protected using
a detached anti-surge fuse of 4A.
Insert the SIM card in the device's rear before the installation on the
DIN rail. The device must be deactivated through this process.
Never use the device in areas where the operation of wireless
equipment is prohibited.The adherence of the protection against
lightning norm VDE V 0185 is mandatory when installing the anten-
na outside. The E.M.C lightning zone concept must be concerned.
The device must be deactivated while working with the antenna.
