Active Column Speaker System
These instructions are intended for users with
basic knowledge of PA technology . Please
read the instructions carefully prior to oper-
ation and keep them for later reference .

1 Overview
1 Input LINE IN (XLR, bal .) to connect
a mono signal source with line level
(e . g . mixer, preamplifier)
2 Control VOLUME SATELLITE for the vol-
ume of the column speaker
3 Control XOVER FREQ for the upper cut-off
frequency of the subwoofer
4 Control VOLUME SUBWOOFER for the
volume of the subwoofer

The signal of the input LINE IN (1) is
available at this output; this signal can
be routed to an additional active speaker
system, for example
6 Input AUX IN (RCA jacks) to connect
a stereo signal source with line level
(e . g . mixer, CD / MP3 player)
7 LED SUB: lights up with volume peaks
when the power limit for the subwoofer
has been reached . It may light up briefly .
If it lights up longer, turn back the control
VOLUME SUBWOOFER (4) accordingly to
prevent distortion .
8 LED SATELLITE: lights up with volume
peaks when the power limit for the col-
umn speaker has been reached . It may
light up briefly . If it lights up longer, turn
back the control VOLUME SATELLITE (2)
accordingly to prevent distortion .
9 POWER LED
10 Air vents; do not cover the air vents to
prevent overheating inside the speaker
system!
11 Jack SATELLITE OUTPUT to connect the
column speaker via the speaker cable
provided
12 POWER switch
13 Mains jack for connection to a mains
socket (230 V/ 50 Hz) via the mains cable
provided

2 Safety Notes

The product corresponds to all relevant di-
rectives of the EU and is therefore marked
with .
WARNING The product uses dangerous
mains voltage . Leave servicing
to skilled personnel and do not
insert anything into the air
vents (10)! Inexpert handling
may result in electric shock .

The product is suitable for indoor use only .
Protect it against dripping water, splash
water and high air humidity . The admissi-
ble ambient temperature range is 0 – 40 °C .
•
Do not place any vessels filled with liquid,
e . g . drinking glasses, on the product .
•
The heat produced inside the speaker sys-
tem must be dissipated by air circulation;
never cover the air vents (10) .

Do not use the product and immediately
disconnect the mains plug from the socket
1 . if the device or the mains cable is visibly
damaged,
2 . if a defect might have occurred after the
product was dropped or suffered a sim-
ilar accident,
3 . if malfunctions occur .
Any repairs must be carried out by special-
ists .
•
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect
the mains plug from the socket, always
seize the plug .
•
For cleaning the product, only use a dry,
soft cloth; never use water or chemicals .
