Descaling Procedure - Zanussi KEZ80-SSBL Gebrauchsanweisung

Add either the juice of a whole lemon, 2 tablespoons of
baking soda or 6 tablespoons of white vinegar, place the
main cover on the jug and close it.
Do not boil the mixture. Let it sit overnight before discarding
the mixture. Then fill the jug with fresh water, boil and
discard the used water. Repeat the procedure if necessary.

Descaling procedure

It is normal for lime deposits to form in the appliance.
Limestone particles in the water deposit as residue in the
kettle and cause malfunction or damage. The descaling
frequency depends on the water hardness and the
frequency of use. Descale your kettle regularly (3 to 4 times
a year for normal frequency of use).
To descale your appliance, please follow these instructions:
➢ Mix 250 cl of water with 250 cl of white vinegar (5% acetic
acid)
➢ Pour this solution into the jug.
➢ Let the solution sit in the jug overnight.
➢ Pour out the solution. Remove any deposits on the spout
by rubbing it with a damp cloth.
➢ Fill the jug with clear water, boil it at 100°C, then discard
the water.
➢ Wipe the outer surface of the jug with a soft cloth before
placing it back on its base.
Note: you can also use a specific descaling solution for tea
kettles. Follow the manufacturer's instructions, rinse the
jug thoroughly and boil water several times after descaling
before using the kettle again.
