Maintenance

Check the technical safety of the fog machine regularly, e.g. for damage to the con-
nection cables or to the housing.
If you have reasons to assume that the device can no longer be operated safely, dis-
connect it immediately and secure it against being operated unintentionally.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• the device, the remote control or the connection cables show visible damage
• the appliance does not function for some reason
• the device has been stored under unfavourable conditions for a longer period of
time
• the device has been subjected to heavy transport strain
Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing
the device:
Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or parts are
removed (unless this can be done without tools).
Contact points may also be live.
If the appliance needs to be opened for calibrating, servicing,
repairing or replacing parts or assemblies, it must be disconnected
from all sources of current first.
If servicing or repairs on an open and live appliance are unavoida-
ble, these may only be carried out by a specialist who is familiar with
the risks involved and is aware of the relevant regulations.
Capacitors in the device may still be charged even after it has been
disconnected from all power sources.
Never replace damaged mains cables yourself. In such cases, dis-
connect the appliance from the mains and take it to a specialist
workshop.

Replacing the Fuse

If you have to replace fuses, ensure that you only use fuses of the same type and
rated current (see Technical Data section).
It is not permitted to repair fuses or bridge the fuse holder.
• After disconnecting the device from the mains voltage (pull out the mains plug!),
use a suitable screwdriver to carefully remove the fuse cap from the FUSE holder
on the back of the device with the defective fuse.
• Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type.
