MECtp-Sec
Operating Instructions
Product description
The KNX TP line coupler MECtp-Sec connects two TP lines as main line
and subline. MECtp-Sec can be used as KNX line coupler, KNX area
coupler and KNX repeater (without filtering). KNX Data Secure is
supported. Security and Secure Commissioning can be activated.
MECtp-Sec is able to filter the traffic according to the installation place in
the bus system hierarchy and according to the built-in filter tables for
group-oriented communication. Long messages with up to 240 bytes
APDU are supported. Configuring from subline can be deactivated.
Special functions for transmission of telegrams are available. Filtering can
be temporarily deactivated on pressing the Function button (Manual
Function), i.e. to ease commissioning. MECtp-Sec then switches back to
normal operation after expiry of a configurable time period.
MECtp-Sec is a rail-mounted device for installation in distribution boards
on 35 mm DIN rails. The device is supplied with power by the main line.
Operational and filtering states, malfunction and faulty communication are
indicated by LEDs. Lines have a galvanic separation between each other.
Requirements of Directives EMC, RoHS and LVD are met. Standards for
residential, commercial, and industrial environments are fulfilled. The full
