CLEANING AND DISINFECTING

WARNINGS:
- Cleaning and disinfecting are separate processes. Cleaning must precede
disinfection. Before use by a different individual: clean, disinfect, and
check the product for damage and confirm that all package contents are
provided with the product.
- Clean the product regularly and when it becomes soiled.
- Follow all manufacturer bleach container and germicidal disinfectant
safety guidelines. For a list of acceptable disinfectants, contact your
equipment provider or local health authority.
- After cleaning and disinfecting, and before using, check all components
for damage, and replace if necessary.
Cover Care Instructions
CAUTION: Frequent heat drying and bleaching will cause fabric to
break down. Air drying and cleaning without bleach are recommended
whenever possible to help extend the life of the cover.
To Identify the covering:
Refer to the cover care label to find the model number:
Stretch-Air Cover includes FRS in
the model number.
Example: "M2-FRSA-18W/18D..."
Incontinence Liner model number begins with BINC.
Surface Cleaning and Disinfecting for Comfort-Tek Cover
and Incontinence Liner Only: Spray with common household
or commercial antibacterial cleansers or disinfectants. Wipe with
a damp, water-only cloth after disinfecting. Let dry completely
before use.
Cleaning and Disinfecting (All Fabrics)
CAUTION: Remove the cover from the foam and any inserts
before cleaning or disinfecting.
To clean the cover: When possible, hand wash in warm water
with mild detergent, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and air
dry (let dry completely before use). Or machine wash warm, using
common laundry detergent and tumble dry low. DO NOT steam
clean or autoclave. DO NOT iron.
To disinfect the cover: Machine wash in hot water, using common
laundry detergent. Or hand wash warm, using 1 part household
liquid bleach per 8 parts water. Keep the product wet with the
bleach solution for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Tumble dry
low or air dry.
