Installation
• Consult the circuit diagram below when installing the unit. Use only
antenna sockets or insertion filters with DC coupling.
• When preparing the cables for connection take care that no
strands of the screening braid touch the inner conductor
(this could cause a short-circuit). See the drawing on the right for
details of connection.
• Use only termination resistors with DC isolation.
OPERATING AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Power supply cable
Ensure that the power cable is not damaged. WARNING: Never operate the unit with a damaged cable!
• Child awareness
Ensure that children cannot poke objects into the ventilation slits.
WARNING: Danger to life due to electric shock!
• Repair
Only qualified specialists are allowed to open the unit. The unit does not contain any parts that can be
exchanged by the user. Unauthorised opening of the unit automatically cancels the warranty. The
manufacturer's liability for accidents to the user as a result of an open unit is excluded.
• Moisture
Protect the unit from moisture. The unit is only intended for use in moisture-free rooms!
• Sun/heat
Do not place the unit in the vicinity of radiators and do not expose it to direct sunlight.
This multiswitch automatically detects which types of signals are emitted by the receivers. If your
system contains only multiswitches with DiSEqC™ signals, the multiswitch operates as a 9/4 multiswitch,
regardless of whether Mini-DiSEqC™ or DiSEqC™ 2.0 commands are used. Program your receiver so
that SAT system A is selected with the command POS A and SAT system B with the command POS B.
Take care that the 22 kHz signal is switched on or off, as necessary, to selected the low and high bands,
respectively, of the LNB.
If you connect receivers which use only the 22 kHz signal to your system, the multiswitch operates in the
normal multifeed mode. In other words: the low band of SAT system A is selected when the 22 kHz signal
is off and the upper band of SAT system B is selected when it is on.
