Bitte lesen Sie die vorliegende Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig durch. Bei
Fragen wenden Sie sich an Ihren Arzt oder Fachhandel von dem Sie dieses
Medizinprodukt erhalten haben.
Zweckbestimmung
Bei diesem Medizinprodukt handelt es sich um eine Orthese zur Ruhigstellung
des Daumengrund- und Daumensattelgelenks.
Indikationen
Posttraumatisch, postoperativ, z. B. nach Distorsion, Kontusion, Bandläsionen
(Ski-Daumen), Ruhigstellung bei rheumatisch-entzündlichen Prozessen
(Rhizarthrose).
Kontraindikationen
Periphere arterielle Verschlusskrankheit (PAVK), Lymphabflussstörungen
auch unklare Weichteilschwellungen körperfern des angelegten Hilfsmittels,
Empfindungs- und Durchblutungsstörungen der versorgten Körperregion,
Erkrankungen der Haut im versorgten Körperabschnitt.
Anwendungsrisiken / Wichtige Hinweise
Dieses Medizinprodukt ist ein verordnungsfähiges Produkt. Sprechen Sie
Anwendung und Dauer mit Ihrem verordnenden Arzt ab. Die Auswahl der
geeigneten Größe und eine Einweisung erfolgt durch das Fachpersonal, von
dem Sie das Medizinprodukt erhalten haben.
– Wichtig: Bitte setzen Sie die SellaFix N Mittelhand-Daumenschiene keiner
direkten Hitze oder Temperaturen über 40 °C aus (z. B. heißes Wasser,
Fahrzeuge, Sauna, Heizung), dies könnte Schädigungen des Materials zur
Folge haben.
– Medizinprodukt vor radiologischen Untersuchungen ablegen
– bei längeren Ruhephasen nicht zu fest verschließen z. B. beim Schlafen
– bei Taubheitsgefühl Medizinprodukt lockern oder ggf. abnehmen
– bei anhaltenden Beschwerden den Arzt oder Fachhandel aufsuchen
– Medizinprodukt indikationsgerecht einsetzen
– gleichzeitige Nutzung anderer Produkte nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt
– keine Änderungen am Produkt vornehmen
– nicht auf offenen Wunden tragen
– nicht verwenden bei Unverträglichkeiten gegen eines der verwendeten
Materialien
– kein Wiedereinsatz – dieses Hilfsmittel ist zur Versorgung eines Patienten
bestimmt
– während der Tragedauer der Orthese: keine lokale Anwendung von Cremes
oder Salben im Bereich des angelegten Hilfsmittels – kann Material zerstören
Anziehanleitung
Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Korrekturmöglichkeiten der SellaFix N Mittelhand-
Daumenschiene von Fachpersonal vorgenommen werden sollten. Die Daumen-
Orthese ist aus thermoplastischem Material gefertigt, welches durch gezieltes
erwärmen auf 70 °C, z. B. durch einen Heißluftfön oder im Wasserbad, in die
gewünschte Form gebracht werden kann. Außerdem lassen sich gewünschte
Formänderungen im Randbereich bequem mit einer Schere vornehmen.

Intended purpose
This medical device is a brace for immobilisation of the metacarpophalangeal
joint and saddle joint of the thumb.
Indications
Post-traumatic, post-operative conditions, i.e. after sprain, contusion,
ligament lesions (skier's thumb), immobilisation in the case of rheumatic-
inflammatory processes (rhizarthrosis).
Contraindications
Peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD), lymph drainage disorders,
also unclear soft tissue swellings distal to the aid positioned, sensory and
circulatory disorders with the region of the body treated, skin diseases in the
part of the body treated.
Application risks/Important notes
This medical device is a prescribable product. Discuss the use and duration
with your treating physician. The expert staff from whom you have received the
medical device will select the appropriate size and instruct you regarding its use.
– Important: Please do not subject the SellaFix N metacarpus thumb splint
to direct heat or temperatures exceeding 40°C (e.g. hot water, vehicles, the
sauna, heating) as this may result in damaging the material
– remove the medical device prior to radiological examinations
– do not close it too tightly during longer periods of rest, e.g. when sleeping
– in case of numbness, loosen the medical device and remove it if necessary
– in case of persistent complaints, consult the physician or specialist retailer
– use the medical device in accordance with therapeutic needs
– only use other products simultaneously after consultation with your physician
– do not make any changes to the product
– do not wear it on open wounds
– do not use in case of intolerance of one of the materials used
– no re-use – this medical aid is intended for treating one patient
– whilst wearing the brace, please neither use any creams nor ointments on
or around it as they can destroy the material
Fitting instructions
Please observe that the correction options provided for the SellaFix N
metacarpus thumb splint should be made by expert staff. The thumb brace is
manufactured from thermoplastic material which can be shaped as desired
via targeted heating to 70°C, e.g. with a hot air dryer or in a water bath.
Moreover, desired changes to the shape in the edge area can be made using
a pair of scissors.
Once the SellaFix N metacarpus thumb splint has been shaped as desired,
slip the splint over the wrist and position the thumb in the thumb tube.

Utilisation prévue
Ce dispositif médical est une orthèse de stabilisation de l'articulation
métacarpo-phalangienne et de l'articulation trapézo-métacarpienne du pouce.
Indications
Post-traumatique, post-opératoire, p. ex. après distorsion, contusion, lésions

Contre-indications
Artériopathie oblitérante périphérique (AOP), troubles de la circulation
lymphatique y compris tuméfaction des tissus mous d'origine inconnue de
l'aide posée, troubles de sensation et de la circulation sanguine des régions
corporelles traitées, maladies cutanées sur les zones traitées.
Risques inhérents à l'utilisation/Remarques importantes
Ce dispositif médical est un produit prescrit sur ordonnance. Consultez votre
médecin prescripteur pour en connaître l'utilisation et la durée de port. Le
choix de la taille ainsi qu'une présentation du produit seront réalisés par le
personnel spécialisé qui vous fournira ce dispositif médical.
Ist die SellaFix N Mittelhand-Daumenschiene in die gewünschte Form gebracht,
streifen Sie die Orthese über das Handgelenk und positionieren den Daumen
im Daumenrohr. Schließen Sie nun den zirkulären Verschluss am Handgelenk,
der mittels des Klettverschlusses stufenlos einstellbar ist. Der beigelegte
Polsterstreifen ist selbstklebend und kann bei Druckstellen im Kantenbereich frei
positioniert werden.
Ablegen
Zum Ablegen der Orthese, bitte den zirkulären Gurt öffnen und die Orthese
abstreifen.

Für das erworbene Produkt gelten die gesetzlichen Bestimmungen des
Landes, in dem Sie das Produkt bezogen haben. Bitte wenden Sie sich
an Ihren Fachhandel, sollten Sie einen Gewährleistungsfall vermuten.
Bitte das Produkt vor Einreichung eines Gewährleistungsfalles reinigen.
Wurden beiliegende Hinweise der Gebrauchsanweisung nicht ausreichend
beachtet, so kann die Gewährleistung beeinträchtigt werden bzw. entfallen.
Ausgeschlossen ist eine Gewährleistung bei nicht indikationsgerechter
Anwendung, Nichtbeachtung der Anwendungsrisiken, -hinweise sowie
eigenmächtig vorgenommenen Änderungen am Produkt.
Nutzungsdauer / Lebensdauer des Produkts
Die Lebensdauer des Medizinprodukts wird durch den natürlichen Verschleiß
bei sach- und anwendungsgemäßem Umgang bestimmt.
Meldepflicht
Kommt es bei der Anwendung des Medizinproduktes zu einer
schwerwiegenden Verschlechterung des Gesundheitszustandes, dann
melden Sie dies Ihrem Fachhändler oder uns als Hersteller sowie dem BfArM
(Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte).

Useful life/Lifetime of the product
The lifetime of the medical device is determined by its natural wear and tear if
treated appropriately and as recommended.
Duty of notification
If a serious worsening of the state of health occurs when using the
medical device, you are obliged to notify the specialist dealer or us as the
manufacturer and the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency
(MHRA).

Disposal

véhicules, sauna, chauffage). Vous risqueriez d'endommager le matériau
– retirer le dispositif médical avant les examens radiologiques
– ne pas serrer trop lors des phases de repos prolongées p. ex. pendant le
sommeil
– en cas de sensation d'engourdissement, desserrer ou retirer
éventuellement le dispositif médical
– consulter un médecin ou un magasin spécialisé en cas de gêne persistante
– utiliser le dispositif médical conformément aux indications

Instruction d'application
Veillez à ce que les possibilités de correction de l'attelle du métacarpe et du
pouce SellaFix N soient réalisées par un spécialiste. L'orthèse de pouce est
fabriquée dans un matériau thermoplastique pouvant être mis à la forme
souhaitée via un réchauffement ciblé à 70°C (p. ex. avec un sèche-cheveux
ou au bain-marie). Les changements de forme souhaités au niveau de la
bordure peuvent être aussi effectués facilement à l'aide de ciseaux.
