5.
Note the direction of the releasing tab on
the Locking Rings (B1 and B2). (Figure 2)
Flip the rings over if clipping them closed
is difficult.
6.
Next Assemble the Compression O-ring
(L) and the Compression Ring (K) to the
Support Base (A).
7.
Slide the Pump Connecting Pipe (J) into
the Compression Ring (K) and through the
Compression O-ring (L).
8.
Only lightly tighten the Compression Ring
(K) at this time to allow for proper height
adjustment when installing the Pump (U)
later.
9.
Install the Venturi Injector O-rings (P1 and
P2) onto the ridges of the Venturi Injector
(O).
10. Push the Venturi Injector (O) into the Pump
Connecting Pipe (J).
11. Place the Pump (U) on top of the Venturi
Injector (O)
12. Slip the Compression O-ring (N) between
the Pump's (U) compression ring and
the threaded connection to the Reactor
Column (E).
13. The height of the Pump Connecting
Pipe (J) can now be adjusted so that the
Pump (U) sits level and the Pump's (U)
compression ring can tighten smoothly
and securely. These connection points can
now be fully tightened by hand.
14. Next take Tubing (T1) and connect one end
at T1.1 to the Reactor Column Cap (H) at
the open nozzle H.1.
15. Tubing (T1) is the line through which
enriched water (effluent) will be exiting
the element™ Ca Reactor. It is important
to consider where the flow of water from
the reactor will be directed. The water can
be directed back into the sump or directly
to the aquarium. However It is beneficial
to direct the effluent flow from the Tubing
(T1) into a protein skimmer such as the
aquavitro division™ series or to a point
where there is consistent water surface
disruption so that any possible CO
driven out of solution or low pH water has
its pH increased in value before flowing
through to the aquarium
16. At a convenient point along Tubing (T1)
make a cut and install the Valve (R) at
connection points T1.2 and T1.3.
17. It is convenient to be able to see the
amount of water flowing from the reactor
to judge adjustments. Consider this when
directing the remaining length of Tubing
(T1)
18. Next take Tubing (T2) and connect one end
at T2.1 to the Reactor Column Cover (H) at
the open nozzle H.2.
19. At a convenient point along Tubing (T1)
(considering Figure 2) make a cut and
install the T Connector (M) at connection
points T2.2 and T2.3.
20. Continue the Tubing (T2) from connection
point T2.3 to the connection point T2.4 at
the open nozzle on the Venturi Injector (O).
21. At any point where an extreme bend or
kink is created in Tubing (T1 or T2) the
Tubing Wrap (S) can be wound around the
tubing to provide support and prevent any
impediment to flow.
22. Connect an end of Tubing (T3) to the
remaining connecting point T3.1 of the T
Connector (M).
23. Connect the other end of Tubing (T3) to the
CO
dispensing solenoid or tank regulator
2
(not included) at connecting point T3.2.
