3.7 Multiple output unit in Parallel mode
Multiple output units can be set to Parallel mode by selecting the two Tracking switches to the Parallel
position. The output voltage is set by the Master Voltage control and the Slave output will track the Master
output voltage level. Current adjustment is achieved using the Master Current control and the Slave current
control has no effect. In this mode the +ve terminal of the Master output should be connected to the +ve
terminal of the Slave output, the –ve terminal of the Master output should be connected to the -ve terminal
of the Slave output with a thick wire to avoid damage to the unit in the event of an overload. In this mode
the maximum output current is the sum of the Master and Slave output currents.
3.8 Caution
In the event of a short circuit at the output the current will limit at the value set by the current controls, how-
ever the unit should be turned off and the short circuit removed before continuing use.
