Follow the safety instructions and procedure in
the operating manual and in the spare parts plans!
If any defects are found in the machine that could
endanger persons or damage property, stop the
machine immediately and ensure that it cannot be
used again until all repairs are completed.
Before starting cleaning or maintenance work:
- End operation!
- Let machine cool down!
BEF 201E:
When working on the machine (set-up, maintenance,
service, repair, cleaning, etc.), the power supply of the
machine has to be disconnected from the mains
(disconnect power plug)!
Maintenance
Electrical components:
Visual check for damages
Machine:
Visual check for damages
Check dust protection
and replace if necessary
Clean the connection to the
dust extraction and
chassis from milling residues.
BEF 201V:
Check fuel levels of petrol and
motor oil and refill if necessary.
Check and clean air filter and
replace if necessary.
Milling rotor:
Check milling discs and spacers
and replace if necessary
New:
Worn out:

Risk of fire due to faulty electrical cables! Check the power
line and power plug regularly for functional safety.

Attention:
Danger of injury from sharp edges!
A sharp burr can form on the milling discs during the
milling process. Wear safety gloves!
Injury hazard from heavy machine parts! Do not reach
under the milling rotor when pulling out the milling rotor!
If the free lateral total gap on all cutter rods is greater than
3 mm per cutter rod, additional spacers need to be
mounted on all cutter rods.
Each cutter rod has to be equipped with the same number
of milling discs and spacers.
The operating and maintenance personnel responsible
for the machine must ensure that no one can enter the
machine's danger zone during operation or
maintenance work.
Maintenance work may only be performed by trained
specialists! They must be familiar with the dangers
associated with such work, protect themselves and avoid
danger!
The machine needs to be secured against tipping during
maintenance work!
If necessary, make use of braces.
Keep in mind the weight of the machine and the
machine parts! Secure dismantled parts against falling.
After cleaning and maintenance work, check the safety
equipment for completeness and functionality.
