Use in accordance with manufacturer's instructions
The laser pointer is intended for pointing out details on objects, display boards, etc. Pointing at
persons and animals is not permitted.
The device is designed for battery operation only. Do not use any other power supply. The
required battery type is specifi ed in the "Technical Data" section.
The use of this device in any other way than as described above is not permitted. In addition,
this involves other risks, e.g., eye injuries.
Always observe the safety instructions.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume liability for consequential dam-
ages.
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The warranty
will be void in such cases.
The exclamation mark indicates important information in these operating
instructions. Please read all the instructions before using this device; they
contain important information on its correct operation.
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the product is not
permitted.
• Do not expose the laser pointer to high temperatures, dampness or strong vibration.
• The device and batteries are not toys. Children and adolescents cannot judge the dangers
inherent in electrical devices and lasers.
• When operating the laser equipment, always make sure that the laser beam is directed so
that no one is in the projection area and that unintentionally refl ected beams (e.g., from
refl ective objects) cannot be directed into areas where people are present.
• Laser radiation can be dangerous, if the laser beam or its refl ection enters unprotected eyes.
Therefore, before using the laser equipment, familiarise yourself with the statutory regula-
tions and instructions for operating such a laser device.
• Never look into the laser beam and never point it at people or animals. Laser radiation can
seriously damage your eyes.
• Do not point the laser beam at mirrors or other refl ective surfaces. The uncontrolled, refl ected
beam may strike people or animals.
• Never open the device. Setting or maintenance tasks must only be executed by a trained
specialist familiar with potential hazards. Improperly executed adjustments might result in
dangerous laser radiation.
• The product is equipped with a class 2 laser. Laser signs in different languages are included
in the package. If the sign on the laser is not written in the language of your country, please
affi x the appropriate sign onto the laser.
• Caution: if operation settings or procedures other than those described in these in-
structions are used, it could lead to exposure to dangerous radiation.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in this instruction manual, please contact our
technical support centre or consult a professional.
• Please observe the additional safety instructions in the individual chapters of this manual.

Inserting/Replacing the Batteries
• To open the battery compartment (3), screw apart the shaft of the laser pointer.
• Insert two new 1.5V micro-batteries (AAA) in the battery compartment (3), paying attention to
the polarity. The minus pole of the battery must always point towards the laser outlet (1) (also
see illustration above).
• Screw the shaft of the laser pointer back together.
• If the projection gets darker, the batteries are becoming fl at. Replace the cells with new ones
as described above.
Operation
• The laser pointer is switched on and off by means of the laser button (2).
• If the laser button (2) is depressed, the laser beam exits the laser outlet (1).

Disposal of used batteries/storage batteries
You thereby fulfi l your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the en-
vironment.

Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries.
Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk that they may
be swallowed by children or domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doc-
tor immediately.
Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. There-
fore, use suitable protective gloves.
The batteries must not be short-circuited or thrown into a fi re. Do not at-
tempt to recharge the batteries. This could lead to a risk of explosion.
Never mix batteries of different charge states or different brands.
Never point the laser beam directly at persons or animals.
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regu-
lations.
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used bat-
teries/rechargeable batteries; their disposal in the household waste is prohibited!
Contaminated batteries / rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols
to indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols for the
relevant heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead. You can return
your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge to the offi cial collection
points of your community, in our stores, or everywhere where batteries or recharge-
able batteries are sold.
