1. Description

The EX-1452IS is a USB 3.2 (Gen1) Isolation Adapter that complies with the Universal
Serial Bus (USB) Revision 3.2 (Gen1 and work with up to 5Gbps data transfer rate. It is
equipped with one USB 3.2 (Gen1) A-Port and one USB 3.2 (Gen1) B-Port. The adapt-
er is equipped with a 15KV ESD Surge Protection and between the upstream and
downstream port it is also equipped with a 3KV Optical Isolation. On the host side, how-
ever, the EX-1452IS is only compatible with USB 3.2 (Gen1) or higher. It therefore does
not support USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 host's. The EX-1452IS supports USB Bus Power Mode
and Self Power Mode, allowing the adapter to operate without a power supply, provided
the devices have low power consumption. For devices with high power consumption
and no separate power supply, we recommend connecting the EX-1452IS to a power
supply. This makes the EX-1452IS a compact and simple solution for optically isolating
your USB ports from each other.
