Intended use
This product is designed to be connected to a computer or smartphone with a USB-C™ port
and provides a range of additional interfaces.
- External graphics card: You can connect two HDMI devices and a display via the Dis-
playPort (DP) interface. This will give your computer 3 additional monitor connections.
- External network adapter: The Ethernet connection enables you to establish a network
connection, e.g. if the computer does not have a network port.
- External USB hub: An integrated USB3.0 hub with 4 ports provides additional USB ports,
e.g. for a USB mouse, a USB keyboard or an additional USB drive. One of the USB-C™
ports also serves as a separate USB power outlet that can be used to charge suitable
devices (e.g. smartphone or tablet) with the appropriate connection.
- External sound card: The stereo jack socket (3.5 mm, for headphones and/or micropho-
ne) can be used to connect analogue audio devices, e.g. a headset.
- There is also a PD3.0 charging port for powering the docking station.
The charging current for powering USB devices is provided via the USB3.0 ports and the USB
C™ port.
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture
(e.g. in a bathroom) must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, do not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product
for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper
use can cause hazards such as a short circuit or fire. Read the operating instructions carefully
and store them in a safe place. Only make this product available to third parties together with
its operating instructions.

a) General information
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dange-
rous plaything for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent
unauthorised use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may
damage the product.
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product, or if
you have concerns about safety.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs may only be carried out by a technician or
a specialist repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
b) Persons and product
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into
a warm one. This may cause condensation to form, which can destroy the product.
Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it and putting it to
use. This may take several hours.
• Never pour liquids over electrical devices or place objects filled with liquid next to
the device. If liquid or an object does enter the interior of the device, disconnect
the corresponding power supply. Discontinue use and take the product to a spe-
cialist repair centre.
c) Connected devices
• Always observe the safety information and operating instructions of any other de-
vices which are connected to the product.

• USB-C™ charging port (PD3.0) (1) : Connect a USB-C™ PD charger to the charging port
(PD3.0) (1) to supply the docking station with power (max. 100 W in the input). When
charging the battery of a device connected to the docking station, the maximum charging
power is 87 W.
• DisplayPort (DP connection) (2): Connect a display device with a DisplayPort connector.
• HDMI port 1 (3): Connect a display device with an HDMI plug (4K (60 Hz) for DP1.4 input
signal).
• HDMI port 2 (4): Connect a display device with an HDMI plug (for 4K (30 Hz).
• Ethernet connection (5): Use this connection to connect a network host and establish a net-
work connection for the docking station. For details, see section "b) Network connection".
• USB3.0 x 4 (6) connections: Connect peripheral devices such as keyboards, mice and USB
storage devices.
• SD & microSD card reader slot (7): Insert suitable SD or microSD cards. Insert an SD or
microSD card (max. 2 TB capacity) into the corresponding card slot. Memory cards are not
included with the product.
• USB-C™ port (8): Use this USB-C™ port to charge connected USB devices (5 V/0.9 A,
4.5 W) and transfer data at up to 5 Gbit/s.
