USB LED Lamp

Intended Use
The product is intended to be used to provide illumination in dry, enclosed spaces, e.g. on a desk. Power can
be supplied either by 3 batteries/rechargeable batteries of type AAA/micro or via USB.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and involves the risk of short
circuits, fi re, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modifi ed or converted!
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All names of companies and

Safety Instructions
Please read all instructions before using this device, they include important information
on its correct operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safety
instructions! We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
We do not assume any liability for material damage and personal injury caused by im-
proper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases, the warranty
will be null and void.
• Unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the product is not allowed for safety and
approval reasons (CE).
• The LED lamp is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children!
• The product may be installed and used only in dry, enclosed conditions indoors. The product
must not get damp or wet.
• Do not use the LED lamp in rooms, or under adverse environmental conditions, where com-
bustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is a risk of explosion!
• Never place the LED lamp on an unstable or movable surface. Always place the LED lamp in
such a way that it cannot tilt or topple over. Select a horizontal, level and fl at surface.
Persons may be injured if the product topples/falls over. Furthermore, the product will be
damaged.
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or heavy
mechanical stress.
• Caution, LED light:
Do not look directly into the LED light!
Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
• Never use the product immediately after it has been taken from a cold room to a warm one.
The condensation that forms might damage the product under certain circumstances. Allow
the product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power supply and putting it
to use.
• Avoid the following adverse conditions at the installation location and during transport:
- Excessive humidity or dampness
- Extreme cold or heat, direct sunlight, proximity to heaters
- Dust or fl ammable gases, fumes or solvents
- Strong vibrations, impacts or blows
- Strong magnetic fi elds such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or loudspeakers
• When setting up the product, ensure that the USB cable is neither kinked nor pinched. Place
the USB cable in such a way that nobody can trip over it.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a dangerous
plaything for children.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in this manual, please contact our technical
service or another specialist.
Notes on Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; they could be swallowed by children or pets. If
they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries in contact with the skin can cause acid burns; there-
fore, use suitable safety gloves.
Liquids leaking from batteries/rechargeable batteries are very chemically aggressive. Objects or surfaces
coming into contact with these liquids might be considerably damaged. Thus, store batteries/rechargeable
batteries in a suitable location.
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into fi re. There is a risk of
explosion!
• Conventional batteries must not be recharged. Explosion risk! Only charge rechargeable batteries that are
intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
• Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries (pay attention to
plus/+ and minus/-).
• Do not mix batteries/rechargeable batteries with different charges (full and half-full batteries/rechargeable
batteries.
• Never mix normal batteries with rechargeable batteries. Use either 3 batteries or 3 rechargeable batteries.

• Remove the batteries from the product if you do not use it for a longer period of time. Otherwise, the
batteries can leak and damage the product.

a) Power supply via batteries/rechargeable batteries
• Disconnect the USB connection; unplug the low-voltage plug from the LED lamp.
• Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the LED lamp and insert 3 batteries (or 3 rechargeable
batteries) of type AAA/Micro with the correct polarity. Close the battery compartment again.
• The LED lamp can be switched on and off with the on/off switch on the bottom.
b) Power supply via USB
• First, remove the batteries from the battery compartment if you no longer need them. Expired batteries can
leak and damage the product, as well as the surface of the setup location.
• Using the enclosed USB power cable, connect the low-voltage socket on the LED lamp to a USB port on
a computer, a USB hub with its own power supply unit or a USB wall plug transformer.
• The LED lamp can be switched on and off with the on/off switch on the bottom as long as the USB port
being used is providing power.
c) General
• Place the LED lamp only on an even, stable, and suffi ciently large surface (e.g. a writing desk).
• Align the lamp head as desired using the fl exible goose neck.
Maintenance and Care
• The LED lamp does not require maintenance. The LED bulb is permanently installed and cannot be
replaced.
• The exterior of the LED lamp should only be wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Do not use aggressive
cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage the housing (discolouring) or impair operation.
Do not press too hard on the surfaces, as scratches might appear.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.

As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries and rechargeable
batteries. Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste!
You can return your used normal/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the offi cial collection points of your
community, in our stores, or at places where batteries or rechargeable batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfi l your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.

Note that e.g. a USB hub without its own power supply (like in a USB keyboard) does not supply
enough power. The LED lamp cannot be operated here.
Protect valuable surfaces by using an appropriate underlay; otherwise it may cause scratches or
pressure marks.
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed of in the house-
hold waste!
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any batteries/rechargeable batteries inserted in the LED lamp and dispose of them
separately from the product.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries contain harmful materials and are labelled with the symbol
shown to indicate that disposal in the household waste is forbidden. The symbols of the
relevant heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (marking can be seen on
the battery/rechargeable battery, e.g. underneath the refuse bin symbol shown on the left).
