Notes:
•
Connections for the KCE can be found behind the COP marked as J2 (14 way connection plug) and Top of Car for the LCE
recommended marked as X12 (the LCE can also be plugged in to the back of the COP as can the KCE but confirm this first,
taking note that the plug connections can only be plugged in one way - don't force the connections)
•
Relays have been included in this loom for all voltage contacts; no further relays are required
•
Leaving the Kone KRM speaker and microphone attached will not prevent the system from working, but may cause the Kone
acceptance bleep to sound continuously. To prevent this occurring disconnect the Kone speaker and microphone
•
The LPBus DAU (Digital Audio Unit) will complete all required speaker and microphone activities using its own speaker and
microphone
•
Disconnecting these components will cause a red LED to flash on the Kone PCB on top of the lift car, but will not affect
performance of the Kone lift or the LPBus DAU system
The Kone wiring loom is compatible with Kone LCE/KCE lifts between 2004 -present with a 14 way plug connection, but wiring
can vary depending on lift manufacturer installation
1.
For the KCE locate the 14 way cable behind the COP (Car Operating Panel) marked J2
2.
For the LCE locate the 14 way cable on top of the lift (TOC) marked X12 (LCE can also be plugged in to the back of the COP as can
the KCE - whichever is the easiest option)
3.
Unplug the Kone 14 way cable from the socket (this will need to be reconnected to the Avire Interface socket)
4.
Plug the Avire wiring loom 14 way interface plug into X12 or the J2 socket
5.
Reconnect the Kone cable to the other end of the Avire interface cable
6.
You may need to disconnect the KRM speaker/Microphone to prevent the Kone acceptance bleep sounding continuously (see
notes)
7.
The Digital Communication Platform (DCP GSM) provides the line through its CAN Bus connection to the Digital Audio Unit (DAU)
8.
Disconnect the telephone line from the KONE KRM system
