❐ Do not use the device if there are fl ammable gases in the air (e.g. hairspray).
❐ Keep a suffi cient distance from heat sources, e.g. hobs or ovens.
❐ Before connecting the device, unwind the power cord completely.
❐ Always allow the device to cool off completely before you stow it.
❐ Only use the device in indoor areas.
❐ Only connect the device to a properly installed socket. The socket must also
be easily accessible after the device has been connected. The mains voltage
must correspond to the data on the nameplate of the device. Only use proper
extension cords, whose technical data correspond to those of the device.
❐ Check the device for damages each time before you use it. The device may
not be used if it, the mains cord or plug exhibit visible damages. Do not use the
device if it malfunctions, has fallen down or in water.
❐ If the device is defective, do not attempt to repair it yourself. Electrical equip-
ment may only be repaired by qualifi ed professionals. In the event of damage,
contact the customer service department.
❐ Do not use any additional accessories. Only use the enclosed accessories from
the manufacturer.
❐ Turn the device off and pull the mains plug out of the socket
– if you are not using the device,
– if a fault occurs during operation,
– if liquids or debris end up in the device,
– before a storm,
– before you clean it.
❐ If you wish to remove the mains plug from the socket, never pull on the cable,
but always on the plug.
❐ The device must be deactivated when you pull the mains plug out of the socket
or insert it in the socket.
❐ Never submerge the device in water or other liquids! Ensure that the device,
cable or plug do not fall in water or are at risk of getting wet. If the device falls
in water, immediately disconnect the power supply.
❐ Never touch the device, the mains cord or plug with wet hands.
❐ Lay the mains cord so that it cannot be crushed or kinked and so that it does
not come into contact with sharp edges and hot surfaces (including those of
the device).
❐ Do not insert anything in the openings of the device and make sure that they
are not plugged.
❐ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐ Do not pull or carry the device by the mains cord. Never wind the mains cord
around the device.
❐ Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe changes in
temperature, open fl ames, direct sunlight, moisture or wetness.
❐ Only clean and stow the device once it has cooled off completely.
