8.5 Condensation drain

The heat exchanger uses outdoor air to cool the warm exhaust air, this
causes condensation in the heat exchanger from the unit. The condensa-
tion water which collects in the heat exchanger is conducted to a drain
(outlet). The outlet is located at either the left or right hand side of the unit,
depending on the model of the WHR. The PVC condensation drains(B)
external diameter is ø 20mm.
The outlet should be connected by means of a pipe or hose to an air
trap(A) that is connected to the sewer. The top edge of the air trap should
be positioned at least 40mm below the outlet from the drain of the WHR.
The end of the pipe or hose should be below water level in the air trap.
Ensure that the air trap to the is always filled with water
Ensure that the end of the pipe or hose is as far below water level as
possible. This will ensure that the WHR does not suck in leaked air.

The WHR has a cable and a Perilex plug for the electrical connection. The
connection must comply with NEN 50110 and locally applicable regula-
tions. The unit is not suitable for connection to the three-phase mains.
Inspect the complete installation.
