Select this to have the IP address assigned automatically.

Manual (static IP)
Select this to enter the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway and DNS server
IP address manually.
Wireless setup (WLAN setup)

Select a connection profile
Your NOXON M740 can store up to three WLAN connections. Press OK to go to the
next step, the Back button to cancel or OK to continue.

Select the connection mode
Choose between Infrastructure (AP) and Peer to Peer (Ad Hoc). Tip: If you have a
normal DSL router, you will usually use Infrastructure. Press OK to go to the next
step or press RETURN to cancel.

Infrastructure (AP)
Infrastructure mode is used to connect computers with WLAN adapters to an exist-
ing network using a WLAN router or access point.

Obtain SSID Name
Press OK to go to the next step, the Back button on your remote control to cancel
or Options to update the SSID list. Note: The abbreviations 'WEP' (Wired Equivalent
Privacy) and 'WPA' (WiFi Protected Access) in the Security list mean that the net-
work is encrypted. This means that a key is needed to have access to this network.
'NONE' in the list means that the network is open and unencrypted.

Entering the WEP/WPA key
The password for encrypted networks can be entered via the on-screen keyboard
using the remote control. Use the navigation buttons to select the desired character.
Press OK to enter, CAPS to toggle between upper and lower-case letters, <- to de-
lete a character, -> to insert a character, Shift to display symbols and OK to confirm.

Connection test
The test process can take some time – please be patient. If the test runs success-
fully, the network information (profile name, IP address, subnet mask, gateway etc.)
are displayed on the screen.

Peer to Peer (Ad Hoc)
Peer-to-Peer mode (also known as Ad Hoc or Computer-to-Computer mode) is
used to connect wireless network devices to each other directly. A wireless router or
access point is not required.

Ad Hoc setup
Press OK to go to the next step, the Back button on your remote control to cancel
and OK to connect.
