6 Packaging, transport
and storage
6.1 Packaging
If you want to package the device for
transport (e.g. to send it in to your re-
tailer), then please observe the following:
(1) Select suitable packaging material
The package may not be too big
or too small.
(2) To protect the device against slip-
ping, used fill material
(3) Carefully close the packaging
6.2 Transport
If you want to send a packaged device to
your retailer, please observe the following:
f Do not throw or drop the package

6.3 Storage
If you want to store the device for a
longer period of time, please observe
the following:
(1) Ensure that the environment is dry
(not above 70 % rel. humidity)
(2) Ensure that the environment is
dust-free
(3) Only store the device in interior
rooms (5 to 35 °C)
(4) Avoid impacts and mechanical
damage

7 Maintenance

You must perform a visual inspection and
clean the device at regular intervals
independently. Firmware updates and
functional checks must be performed by
Pyrexx Technologies GmbH.

7.1 Visual inspection

Perform a visual inspection at regular in-
tervals or before each use:
Ensure that the device is not damaged

f Check the triangular plug of the
adapter cable and the slot on the
smoke alarm device for contamina-
tion as well as possible interfering
edges and remove them if necessary
f Ensure that the contacts of the
triangular plug are not damaged
or bent
7.2 Cleaning
Note the following when cleaning:
f Clean the device with care, e.g. with
a damp cloth

7.3 Firmware update and
functional check
A newly purchased device is always sup-
plied with the most recent firmware. To
ensure that the device functions properly,
you must have a firmware update and
functional check performed by Pyrexx
Technologies GmbH at regular intervals.
This may be subject to a fee.
