12. Trouble shooting

Symptom
Liquid column in the
pipette does not hold
(pipette drops or runs out)
The pump will not blow
out the pipette
The pump does not
function neither filling
nor blowing out

Possible cause
- Safety valve built-in incorrectly
- Pipetholder is untight
- Incorrect pipetting mode
- Batteries flat
- Safety valve incorrectly
positioned

Solution
- Insert the safety valve so, that the side with
the black O-ring points to the filter (see
point 8).
- Test the correct assembly sequence for
the pipetholder. If required, test or
replace individual components.
- Silicone adapters can become worn or cracked.
Change if necessary
-- Filters can be blocked. Change if necessary
- Set the Ex/Blow out key to the Blow out mode.
The pipette will be blown out!
- Recharge the batteries with the recharger
unit.
- Place the safety valve so that the black sealing
ring shows towards the filter.
