USB-S1 Studio microphone

Intended use
The studio microphone is intended to convert acoustic signals (sound waves) into
electrical signals. It is suitable for natural recording of voiced and other critical sound
sources.
The USB connector may be connected only to suitable USB ports of computers.
Any use other than as described above is not permitted and can damage the product.
In addition, it can lead to hazards such as short-circuit, fire, etc.
Read the operating instructions carefully and keep them for later reference. If you
pass the product on to a third party, please hand over these operating instructions
as well.
No part of the product may be modified or converted.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times.

Safety instructions
F irst, read the complete operating instructions carefully, as they contain
important information about proper operation of the device.
D amage due to failure to follow these operating instructions will void the
warranty! We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
W e do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused
by improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such
cases, the warranty will be null and void!
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modification to
the product are not permitted.
• When connecting the microphone, pay attention to the safety instructions
of the device to which it is to be connected.
• Do not expose the product to high temperatures, strong vibrations, drip-
ping water or water spray.
• Use the product only in a temperate and not in a tropical climate.
• This product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children.
• Don't leave packaging material lying around carelessly; it may become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impact, blows, or ac-
cidental drops, even from a low height.
• Also observe any further safety instructions in the individual chapters of
these operating instructions.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Em-
ployer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operat-
ing Facilities are to be observed.
• If in doubt about how to connect the product correctly, or should any
questions arise that are not answered in these operating instructions,
please contact our technical service or any other professional expert.
Start-up
N ever point the microphone at the sound openings of loudspeakers, since
this may lead to interference, which could damage the loudspeaker and the
connected computer.
Assembly
• Unfold the feet of the tripod.
• Attach the microphone on the holding bracket.
• Attach the holding bracket on the tripod.
Sound recording
• Turn down the volume of the computer.
• Connect the USB cable to the microphone.
• Connect the USB plug to a free USB port of your computer.
• Wait until your operating system has recognised and installed the new hardware.
This takes place automatically.
• If necessary, set up the product as audio source device in your computer.
• Start a suitable software for sound recording.
• Adjust the volume at the computer to which the microphone is connected.
• Disconnect the product from computer when you no longer want to use it.
Maintenance and cleaning
This studio microphone is maintenance-free.
Please use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth for cleaning.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions; this may lead to dam-
ages to the surface of the casing.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclables and must not be disposed of in the
household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
