LED wall-mounted light
Item-No. 57 39 31
Prescribed Use
The LED wall-mounted light is intended for the illumination of indoor areas; it must only be mounted and oper-
ated in dry, closed interiors.
Any other use than as described above can damage the product. Moreover, this may give rise to hazards such
as short-circuiting, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product must be modified or rebuilt!
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
This product complies with the applicable National and European specifications.
Scope of delivery
• LED wall-mounted luminaire
• Operating Instructions
Safety Instructions
Please read all of the operating instructions before using the product for the first time;
they contain important information about the correct operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safe-
ty instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequential damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper use
or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The warranty will be void in such cases.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible because of
safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or heavy
mechanical stress.
• The LED wall-mounted luminaire is not a toy and therefore has no place in the hands of chil-
dren. There is a risk of a lethal electric shock!
• The product is designed in protection class I, the protective earth conductor must be con-
nected.
• The LED wall-mounted luminaire is only to be operated with a supply voltage of 230V~/50Hz.
Never try to operate the LED wall-mounted luminaire with a different voltage, this will destroy it.
• This product is only to be installed and operated in dry and closed indoors.
• Do not use the LED wall-mounted luminaire in rooms, or under adverse environmental condi-
tions, where combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is a risk of
explosion!
• To avoid eye injury, do not look at the light source or point the light at persons or animals.
• If there is any reason to believe that safe operation has become impossible, turn the device off
and secure it against any unintentional operation.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device shows visible signs of damage
- the device no longer operates
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- the device was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous playthings for
children.
• In commercial and industrial facilities, the regulations for the prevention of accidents as laid
down by the professional trade association for electrical equipment and devices need to be
observed.
Preparations for Installation
The LED wall-mounted luminaire may only be installed by a qualified technician who is
familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g. VDE, German electrical wiring regulations)!
Improper work, carried out on the mains voltage, endangers not only your life but also the
life of others!
If you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not install it yourself but
ask a qualified technician.
Please note:
• Only install the LED wall-mounted luminaire on a stable surface, e.g. brickwork. Depending on the surface
suitable screws and plugs are to be used.
• The LED wall-mounted luminaire must be set up and used out of the reach of children.
• The LED wall-mounted luminaire must be fused in the fuse box of the building by a 10/16A fuse.
An earth leakage circuit breaker must be installed before this (FI protective switch).
• The LED wall-mounted luminaire must be voltage-free during installation. It is not sufficient to just turn
off at the light switch!
Turn the power off and disconnect all poles by removing the electric circuit fuse or switching off the circuit break-
er. Assure it against an unauthorised re-start, e.g. with a danger sign. In addition, switch off the associated
earth-leakagecircuit breaker.
• Check that the mains connection is free of current e.g. with an appropriate tester.

Version 02/09
°
• Unfasten the single cross-head screw on the outside the housing and remove the wall bracket.
• Fasten the wall holder to the wall with suitable screws and plugs; check the correct orientation; the screw
on the LED wall-mounted light should be facing uprightly downwards .
• Connect the mains lead with the LED wall-mounted luminaire (brown cable = L, blue cable = N, green/yel-
low cable = PE/earth, earthing symbol). For „L" and „N" a strip terminal is available in the LED wall-mount-
ed light, the protective earth conductor is connected directly to the housing of the wall-mounted light. For
this purpose, there is a screw terminal.
• Put the LED wall-mounted luminaire at the wall bracket. Make sure that the cables are not pinched or dam-
aged! Do not use force when mounting!
Fasten the wall-mounted light to the wall bracket with the previously removed screw.
• Switch on the mains voltage again and make sure that the LED wall-mounted luminaire is functioning.
Maintenance and Care
• The LED wall-mounted luminaire is maintenace-free, a replacement of the LEDs is not possible! Therefore,
never dismantle the product.
• Switch off the LED wall-mounted luminaire resp. disconnect it from the mains voltage before cleaning. After
that, make sure the wall-mounted luminaire cools down sufficiently.
The exterior of the LED wall-mounted luminaire should only be wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Do not
use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage the housing (discolouring) or
impair operation.
Do not press too hard on the housing or the cover glass, as scratches might appear.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.

Please pay attention to the information in the chapter "Preparations for Installation"!
Make sure you do not touch the satined glass with greasy hands during the installation, it is very
difficult to remove this from the roughened surface.
When drilling mounting holes or screwing down, ensure that no existing electrical cable,
gas or water pipes will be damaged.
The protected earth must be connected!
When the LED wall-mounted luminaire is substituting another existing luminaire and no protec-
tive earth conductor is available, the LED wall-mounted luminaire must not be mounted. First,
draw a new mains cable.
In case no protective earth conductor is connected, in error behaviour the mains voltage might
charge the metal housing of the LED wall-mounted luminaire. There is a risk of a life-threatening
electric shock!
Make sure the cables are not stripped bare too much; this could also cause a short-circuit or
the like.
Check if the screwed fastenings of the cabling of the luminaire itself are tight enough resp. screw
them down.
If the LEDs in the LED wall-mounted luminaire do not light up, switch off the mains voltage imme-
diately (take out fuse or switch off circuit breaker).
Then check the connection for the LED wall-mounted luminaire.
In case of doubt, contact a professional (e.g. an electrician).
Please dispose the product, when it is no longer in use, according to the current statutory require-
ments.
The device is suitable for direct mounting on normally inflammable surfaces
