Transmitter/receiver
Module Set 868 MHz
Item-No. 19 09 39
Intended Use
The transmitter/receiver module set is used for the radio transmission of digital data and is only licensed for
connection to direct voltage.
The licensed maximum limit values of the voltage information may on no account be exceeded.
Externally generated serial data are modulated by the transmitter module at high frequency and transmit-
ted to the receiver module via a radio connection.
The receiver demodulates the high-frequency signal and makes the transmitted serial data available aging.
The necessary control electronics at the transmitter and the evaluation electronics at the receiver are to be
prepared by the user.
This module is a "non-CE-tested" component and is conceived for installation in devices or housing.
The transmitter has been tested according to EN 300 220-1/-3.
The CE norms must be observed when using the device.
No part of the product may be modified or converted. Uses other than those described above are not per-
mitted. They can lead to damage to the product
Safety instructions and danger warnings
The exclamation mark in the triangle indicates that the information provided next to it is of
particular importance in the operating instructions. Read the operating instructions
through completely before setting up the device; they include important information about
correct operation.
• The guarantee will lapse in case of damage caused by failure to comply with these operating instructions!
We shall not be liable for any consequent loss!
• We do not accept any liability for personal injury or damage to property caused by incorrect handling or
non-observance of the safety instructions! The guarantee will lapse in these cases.
• The device must be commissioned correctly. Observe these operating instructions in doing so.
• Keep the device out of the reach of children.
• Capacitors on the boards may still be charged even if they have been disconnected from the sources of
voltage.
• Do not leave the modules lying around carelessly. They could be swallowed by children or domestic pets.
If swallowed, contact a doctor immediately.
• Do not expose the power supply to heavy mechanical stress, high temperatures, strong vibrations or a
high level of dampness. These influences could damage the transmitter or receiver.
Connecting and commissioning the module

Solder the power-supply cables to the soldering points of the module.
Always pay attention to the correct polarity of the connecting cable.
The minus cables are connected to the soldering point "ground (-)"
Version 04/04
and the plus cables to the point "+V" at the two modules.
Connect the input signal for the transmitter to the two points
"ground (-)" and "Signal =>".
At the receiver you can tap the transmitted signal to the two points
"signal <=" and "ground (-)" and feed your evaluation electronics
(not included in the scope of delivery).
Solder an approx. 8-cm long wire to the soldering point bearing the
aerial symbol.
Before switching on the operating voltage, please check that the cabling is correct. Also make sure that the
soldering points of the connecting cables do not show any shorts.
After creating the operating voltage and the input signal at the transmitter, the data will be transmitted .
Please make sure that the transmitter does not transmit without an input signal !
Caution! The range can be impaired through external sources of disturbance (buildings with reinforced con-
crete, electronic devices etc.).
