Ultrasonic Vermin Repeller

Intended Use
The vermin repeller is effective against mice, rats and other vermin, and operates at frequencies
from 20,000 to 60,000 Hz (ultrasonic).
The product has a frequency control switch. The desired frequency can be adjusted with the
frequency control switch. A „test button" enables convenient functional testing.
The voltage is supplied via the wall plug transformer enclosed.
All the supplied components are only suitable for use within dry indoor rooms.
All the safety and operating instructions in this manual must be followed carefully. These instruc-
tions not only protect the device but, in particular, your health. Please read the entire operating
manual before using the product.
This product complies with the applicable National and European requirements. All names of
companies and products are the trademarks of the respective owner.
Explanation of the Symbols
A lightning symbol in a triangle indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger of an electric
shock.
The exclamation mark in a triangle indicates a particular risk during handling, operation
and control.
The „Hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.

• Test button: A test button is situated at the back of the vermin repeller. The test button emits a
signal that is audible to the human ear. This serves as functional test.
• Frequency control: The vermin repeller has a rotating knob on the back, which can be used to
adjust the desired frequency
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions. Liability for any and all consequential damage is
excluded!
We do not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by
improper handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The warranty
will be void in such cases.
• The integrated loudspeaker generates a volume of up to 105 dB. Do not get the
loudspeaker close to your ear. This could cause hearing damage.
• The product should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight,
moisture, intense vibrations or heavy mechanical stresses.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the system components require some time to
stabilise, in order to adjust to the ambient temperature, before they can be used.
• Please contact a qualified person, if you are unsure about the safety and correct use
of the system components.
• The unauthorized opening, conversion and/or modification of this product is not
permitted because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The voltage is supplied via the wall plug transformer (12V/DC) enclosed.
• Never leave the packaging material lying around unattended. Plastic film / bags etc.
can be dangerous playthings for children, there is a risk of suffocation.
• If you have a reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated safely,
disconnect it immediately and secure it against being operated unintentionally.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device no longer works and
- if the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time
or
- it has been subjected to considerable stress in transit.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's
Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are to
be observed.
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. Therefore, be
especially careful when children are around.
• All the supplied components are only suitable for use within dry indoor rooms.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
drops, even from a low height.
• Disconnect the wall plug transformer for the sender and receiver from the mains
every time before cleaning.

Connection and Getting Started
• Choose an appropriate place in a dry area on a stable, even and vibration-free surface.
• To supply the power (12V/DC 500 mA), connect the low-voltage plug from the enclosed wall plug
transformer to the connection socket at the back.
• Now plug the wall plug transformer into a mains socket connected to the public supply (230 V /AC
50 Hz).
• The device starts to operate. This is indicated by the red status LED lighting up.
• Now, turn the frequency control on the back of the vermin repeller to „Lo".
• Make a functional test. To do this, press the test button on the back of the vermin repeller.
Maintenance and Cleaning
You do not need to service the product, apart from occasional cleaning.
Before cleaning, unplug the wall plug transformer from the mains socket.
It is sufficient to use a clean, dry and lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents as these could leave stains on the casing. Dust can be
very easily removed using a soft, clean brush and a vacuum cleaner.

• Never pull on the cable of the wall plug transformer! Always unplug it from the mains
socket by gripping the plug housing.
• Never touch the wall plug transformer with wet or damp hands. There is a risk of a
lethal electric shock!
• Never replace damaged mains cables yourself. In such an event, disconnect the
appliance from the mains and take it to a specialist workshop.
• Never pour fluids out above electrical devices. You run the risk of causing a fire or a
fatal electric shock. If liquids enter the device, immediately disconnect it from the
power supply, remove the plug from the mains and consult an expert.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualified
specialist or a specialised repair shop.
• If you have any questions, which are not answered in this manual, please contact our
technical service or another specialist.
• Never shut animals in a room where a vermin repeller is in use, this is animal
cruelty! Give the animals a chance to escape!
