Keep the toaster under supervision when in use.
Never insert your fingers or metal objects into the
toaster opening.
Allow to cool down completely before putting away.
Do not toast bread with any form of spread,
topping or sauce.
Do not toast bread which is too large for the
opening.
Before use
Allow the toaster to heat up without any bread
inside before using for the first time. Insert plug
in mains socket. Switch on power, set toasting
setting dial (2) to 7, and press handle (1) down.
The toaster will switch on and switch itself off
again automatically after a short period. Repeat
the procedure 3 times.
Toasting
Insert the plug into the mains socket and switch
on the power.
Select the toasting setting desired using the
setting dial - the higher the setting, the longer
it will toast. Remember that dry bread will toast
faster than fresh.
Insert bread slices in the openings (8) and press
the handle down until they are inside the toaster.
The handle will return to its start position.
The slices of bread will pop up automatically when
toasted. The toaster will switch off automatically.
Press the reheat button (4) immediately after
depressing the handle if you want to reheat
toasted bread.
Press the defrost button (5) immediately after
depressing the handle if you want to toast frozen
bread.
Toasting can be disrupted at any time by pressing
the stop button (3).
ENGLISH
If a piece of bread gets stuck during toasting,
remove the plug from the mains socket and allow
the toaster to cool off before trying to remove it.
Turn the toaster upside down and try to shake the
bread out. If this is unsuccessful, try to work the
bread free. Never use metal objects for this purpose,
and avoid damaging the heating elements, as this
will void the guarantee.
Using the bun toaster
Push the handle (7) upwards to reveal the built-in
bun toaster (9). Place the buns on the grille and
switch the toaster on. The buns must not extend
over 1 cm either side of the bun grille.
Cleaning
Unplug the toaster and allow to cool down.
Empty the crumb tray (6).
Wipe the external surfaces with a damp cloth. Dry
if required with a dry cloth.
Never use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents,
as they may attack plastic parts.
