Please read these operating instructions carefully
prior to installation and keep them for later reference.
1 Applications
This LED tube is suitable both as a replacement
for conventional T8 fluorescent tubes with ballast
and starter and for new installations with direct
connection to a 230 V mains voltage. The versions
LEDT-120... and LEDT-122... replace conventional
36 W fluorescent tubes; the versions LEDT-150...
and LEDT-152... replace conventional 58 W fluores-
cent tubes.
Compared to conventional fluorescent tubes, LED
tubes provide the following advantages:
— power saving
— longer life
— less heat output
— free from mercury
— no flickering
— no ultraviolet radiation or infrared radiation
— immediate light after switching on
Note: The LED tube is not suitable as a replacement
for fluorescent tubes operated with electronic bal-
last.
2 Important Notes
The LED tube and the starter bridge correspond to
all relevant directives of the EU and are therefore
marked with
.

The LED tube is suitable for indoor use only. Pro-
tect it against dripping water and splash water,
high air humidity and heat (admissible ambient
temperature range 0 – 40 °C).

For cleaning the LED tube, only use a soft cloth,
dry or slightly wet. Never use aggressive deter-
gents or water.

No guarantee claims for the LED tube and no lia-
bility for any resulting personal damage or mate-
rial damage will be accepted if the LED tube is
used for other purposes than originally intended or
if it is not correctly installed.
If the LED tube is to be put out of operation
definitively, take it to a local recycling plant
for a disposal which is not harmful to the
environment.
3 Replacing a Fluorescent Tube
1) Prior to replacing, switch off the luminaire so that
there is no voltage at the lampholder.
2) Replace the starter with the starter bridge pro-
vided.
3) Remove the two protective caps from the con-
nector pins of the LED tube.
4) Replace the fluorescent tube with the LED tube.
Turn the LED tube in such a way that light is emit-
ted in the desired direction.
5) The LED tube is supplied with power via the
ballast for the former fluorescent tube. To save
even more power (up to 10 W), it is possible to
bridge the ballast. This must be done by skilled
personnel.

4 New Installation of the LED Tube
For a new installation, connect the LED tube to a
230 V mains voltage (see figure). Thus, the tube can
be inserted into the lampholder either way without
causing a short circuit.

5 Replacing the LED Tube
Attention Label
ATTENTION! The LED tube may only be replaced
by an LED tube. If the LED tube is accidentally
replaced by a conventional fluorescent tube, a short
circuit will occur and the fuse in the fuse box will
interrupt the current circuit.
Therefore, to indicate that an LED tube has been
inserted, attach the label "ATTENTION! Converted
to LED" to the luminaire at a place where it instantly
attracts attention when the LED tube is replaced.
