LED Panel
GB
Please read these operating instructions carefully
prior to installation and keep them for later reference.
1 Applications
This LED panel is specially designed for installation
into suspended ceilings. With the suspension kit
LEDP-4HOLD, wall mounting or suspended installa-
tion will also be possible. The LED panel is supplied
with a power supply unit which can also be con-
nected to the 230 V mains by means of a dimmer.
Compared to conventional light panels, LED panels
have the following advantages:
—power saving
—longer life
—less heat output
—free from mercury, no ultraviolet radiation or
infrared radiation
—no flickering, instant start
Note: The LED panel is not suitable for damp loca-
tions. It will not be possible to replace individual LEDs
in the panel.
2 Important Notes
The LED panel and its power supply unit correspond
to all relevant directives of the EU and are therefore
marked with
.
G
The LED panel is suitable for indoor use only. Pro-
tect it against dripping water and splash water,
high air humidity and heat (admissible ambient
temperature range 0 – 40 °C).
G
For cleaning the plastic panel only use a soft cloth,
dry or slightly wet. Never use aggressive deter-
gents or water.
G
No guarantee claims for the LED panel and no lia-
bility for any resulting personal damage or mate-

rial damage will be accepted if the LED panel is
used for other purposes than originally intended or
if it is not correctly installed.
If the LED panel is to be put out of operation
definitively, take it to a local recycling plant
for a disposal which is not harmful to the
environment.
3 Installation
3.1 Mounting
3.1.1 Installation into suspended ceilings
Install the LED panel(s) into the grid(s) of a sus-
pended ceiling.
3.1.2 Wall mounting
To mount the LED panel on walls, use the suspen-
sion kit LEDP-4HOLD.
1) Instead of the connecting screws, fasten two
mounting brackets (a) each to the left and right
edges of the panel (fig. 1). Use the 8 screws sup-
plied (4 × 10 mm).
2) To attach the panel, screw four screws into the
wall. Make sure that the positions of the screws
match the recesses in the brackets. The suspen-
sion kit includes screws (4 × 30 mm) and dowels.
3) Attach the panel to the screws by means of the
mounting brackets.
3.1.3 Suspended installation
For suspended installation, use the suspension kit
LEDP-4HOLD.
1) Instead of the connecting screws, fasten two
mounting brackets (a) each to the left and right
edges of the panel (fig. 1). Use the 8 screws sup-
plied (4 × 10 mm).
2) Attach a steel rope to each bracket (fig. 2).

3) Unscrew the lower part (d) of each rope support
and screw the upper parts (c) into the ceiling
(fig. 3) with a corresponding distance between the
parts.
4) Guide each free rope end through the sleeve (e)
of a lower support part (d) while slightly pushing
the sleeve into the support. When the sleeve is
released, the rope will be clamped.
5) Screw the lower part (d) with the rope into the
upper part (c) mounted on the ceiling. If the end of
the rope is too long, guide it through the hole in
the upper part (c).
6) To adjust the desired rope length and to align the
LED panel horizontally, seize each rope one after
the other. Slightly push the sleeve (e) into the sup-
port and push the rope into the sleeve (to reduce
the rope length) or pull the rope from the sleeve
(to increase the rope length).
3.2 Electrical connection
Connection to the 230 V mains must only be made
by skilled personnel!
1) Connect the connector of the LED panel to the
connector DC OUT of the power supply unit.
2) Connect the connector AC IN of the power supply
unit to the 230 V mains. Use a dimmer, if required.
4 Note concerning Operation with a Dimmer
If the dimmer has been set to low brightness and the
LED panel is switched on, the LED panel may possi-
bly not light up. (To switch on the power supply unit,
a given minimum voltage is required.). In this case,
increase the brightness of the dimmer until the LED
panel is switched on. Then reduce the brightness as
desired.
