Fitting Instructions

Prerequisites:
EN
1. The transformer is suitable for operating
a 24 V ABS system in a 12 V or 24 V tow-
ing vehicle with the feedback line looped
through.
2. The installation location should not be
exposed to direct spray water (road salt
corrodes)
3. The installation location should have good
air circulation (do not wrap in insulation
material!)
4. Establish all connections in conformity
with the applicable standards; use a suita-
ble crimping tool.

Installation:

1. Switch off the power to all lines that are
tapped.
2. Fasten the transformer with the supplied
screws or equivalent ones.
3. Lay cables with a sufficient cross-section.
4 mm² as standard for the valve circuit
(+30) and 1.5 mm² for the control circuit
(+15) and the feedback line.
4. The towing vehicle must have the legally
stipulated equipment for ABS. The indica-
tor lamp for "Fault in ABS" is usually pre-
scribed. An information indicator lamp for
"Trailer present" may additionally be in-
stalled by means of an info module in the
vehicle. Please always observe the statu-
tory regulations which are valid in your
country.

6. Verify correct connection! Mixing up the
input and output or reversed polarity will
cause the transformer to shut down and
render the ABS system inoperative.

battery discharge or a fault in the
ABS therefore do not occur.
Some ABS test programs which

are executed using a PC switch all
valves on simultaneously. A pulsed
current of up to 30 A occurs. This
may lead to an under-voltage warn-
ing, such as the one which occurs
in the event of weak cables. In real
operation, there is a simultaneous
activation
