This instruction manual is to be used with the attached general description of the
3RG4014-3CD00-0XA0-PF
The agreement with the directive 94/9/EG (ATEX) is proven through the compliance with the standard
EN 60079-0: 2007-05; EN 60079-15: 2006-05 and EN 60947-5-2: 2008-08

Special conditions for safe use: sign „X"
The units are to be protected against mechanical damage.
The attached adhesive label „WARNING - DO NOT SEPARATE UNDER VOLTAGE" should be
fixed right next to the M12 connector or this notice should be pointed out in any other suitable way.
All M12 connectors are to be secured against illegal opening through a safety clip in such a way that
disconnecting the connector is not possible manually but only by destroying the safety clip. Suitable
safety clips are available under order code: 3RX1307
The plug safety cap is to only be removed immediately before the installation of the plug socket.
Installation and operation (see also mounting regulation EN 60079-14)
The units are approved for ambient temperature of -20°C to +55°C.
The units may only be set up, installed and operated by specialised staff.
It is assumed that the knowledge according to the assignment of the classification to the permitted
potentially explosive atmospheres exists.
The connector may not be connected or separated under voltage.
The union nut of the M12 male connector is to be secured with enough clamping torque, so that the
connector can not by chance be separated.
Do not remove the sealing plugs until immediately before unscrewing the cable plug.
Maintenance and fault clearance
The units are maintenance-free.
No changes can be done on the units.
Repairs on the units are not possible.
In case of replacement the upper described articles are to be followed.
