OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITY
The owner and/or operator must have an understanding of
these operating instructions and the following warnings
before operating the jack. It is necessary that the operator
can watch the lifting device and the load during all
movements. It is not allowed to work under the raised load
until it is secured by suitable means.
WARNING
This is a lifting device only. The load must be supported by other
1.
appropriate means (see Figure 1).
2.
Do not move the load while on the jack .
3.
Do not operate the jack with passengers in a vehicle or leaning
against it.
4.
Do not exceed the rated load.
5.
Do not use any type of the extender without prior authorization by
qualified personnel.
6.
Always wear safety glasses when using the device.
Use only on the hard level surface capable of sustaining the load
7.
(see Figure 2).
8.
Do not reach hands under the lifting arm or touch the side plate to
avoid personal injury when lowering the lifting arm (see Figure 3).
9.
Make sure that the lifting point suggested by the vehicle manufac-
turer is stable and properly centered on the jack saddle.
10.
It is your responsibility to keep warning decals legible and intact.
Replacement decals may be available in local service centers and
will be offered from the factory by request.
11.
This jack is filled with OMEGA hydraulic jack oil. When use in
extreme low temperature, please replace with ESSO J13 or Delta
10 oil. Be sure to avoid mixing types of oil, and never use brake
fluid, alcohol, glycerin, detergent, motor oil, or dirty oil. Improper
fluid will cause serious internal damage to the jack and render it
inoperative. For more information on jack oil please contact local
service centers.
12.
Study, understand, and follow all the instructions provided with this
jack prior to operation.
13.
The owner shall retain this manual for future reference to impor-
tant warnings, operating and maintenance instructions.
INSPECTION
1.
Visual inspection shall be made before each use of the Car Dolly,
checking for any damaged, loose or missing parts.
2.
The owner and/or the user shall be aware that repair of this equip-
ment may require specialised knowledge and facilities. It is recom-
mended to have an annual inspection of the devcie done by an
authorised service center and that any defect parts be replaced
with genuine OMEGA parts.
ASSEMBLY
1.
Insert the ram head (No. 1) into the square positioning axle (No.
2), and fasten with the pin (No. 3) attached (see Figure 4).
Insert and screw the handle (No. 4) into the handle socket (No. 5).
2.
INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
1.
Check Oil Level
Open the release valve by turning the release knob counterclock-
wise to have the lifting arm automatically lower to the lowest
position. Remove the filler plug. The oil shall be just up to the hole
(see Figure 5). Fill if necessary with good grade hydraulic jack oil.
2.
Lubricate Internal Component
With the release valve open, pump the jack few strokes to assure
proper internal lubrication.
3.
Bleed Hydraulic System
During transportation, the hydraulic jack may become "air-bound"
causing spongy ram action. To bleed the hydraulic system - close
the release valve by turning the release knob clockwise, and
remove the filler plug. Pump the jack few strokes. Open the
release valve. Reinstall the filler plug.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Lifting
To raise a vehicle, be sure to set the parking brake and block the
wheels first (see Figure 6). Open the release valve by turning the
release knob counterclockwise. Position the jack under the
vehicle lifting point suggested by the vehicle manufacturer. Be
sure that the load is centered. Close the release valve by turning
the release knob clockwise firmly. Connect the air control valve to
the air source, and press the air control valve to pneumatically
operate the jack, or manually pump the jack handle until the load
reaches desired height (see Figure 7).
Note: G4600 is a manual operated model.
2.
Lowering
Open the release valve by SLOWLY turning the release knob
counter clockwise (see Figure 8). Move the jack out of the vehicle
after the lifting arm reaches the lowest position.

MAINTENANCE

1.
When the jack is not in use, keep the jack at its minimum height
and the release valve closed.
2.
Keep the jack clean and apply lubricant to the grease nipple (see
"SPARE PART DRAWING", ref. No. 50) and all pivoting sections
every three 3 months, or more often when use in a dusty work
environment.
3.
Frequently check the oil level. For procedure see "INSTRUCTION
BEFORE USE".
4.
Check the pump piston and the ram periodically for signs of rust or
corrosion. Clean the exposed area with a clean oiled cloth.
