• Insert the connection plug of the supplied power cable into the connection socket of the
power adapter. Insert the round plug of the power adapter into the 53.5V DC connection
socket (7) of the network switch. Connect the safety plug of the power cable to a suitable
mains socket.
• The PWR LED indicator light (1) lights up, indicating that the product is connected to the
mains.
• As soon as the network connection is active and a PoE connection is established, the
corresponding 2 - 5 LED indicator light goes on, indicating that an electrically operated device
has been detected.
• If you want to connect a network cable (CAT 5e) of more than 100 m long, you can use the
Default/Extend switch (4) to switch to Extend. In this case, however, the transmission speed
is reduced to 10 Mbps. For this function, the maximum length of the network cable can be
250 m.
• Disconnect all connected devices from the product after use. Disconnect the power adapter
from the mains socket after use. The LED indicator light goes out after a few seconds.
Brief description of the controls
Control Function
PWR LED A steadily lit LED (green) indicates that the product is supplied
with power.
PoE 2 - 5 LED indicator A steadily lit LED (orange) indicates that the device is powered
lights by the product via one or more LAN ports. The LED flashes
when the power supply is overloaded.
Link/Act LED A steadily lit green LED indicates that the product is connected
to a device via one or more LAN ports. No data are transferred.
As soon as data are transferred, the LED flashes.
Default/Extend switch Switch to Default or Extend depending on the transmission
distance.
2 - 5 LAN ports Connect Ethernet devices, such as router, camera or computer.
1-Uplink LAN port Connection for incoming network cable.
Power 53.5V DC power Connection for the power adapter.

The earth connection (8) is available for connection to the

electrical earthing. It can serve as overvoltage protection.

Care and cleaning

• Disconnect the product from the mains socket and connected devices before cleaning.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may
damage the casing or cause the product to malfunction.
• Do not immerse the product in water or other liquids.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be placed in household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to environmental protection.
