Remaining hazards
The machine has been built using modern technology
and in accordance with recognized safety rules.
Some hazards, however, may still remain.
• Electrical hazards exist when unsuitable electric
connections are used.
• Although having regarded all considerable rules
there may still remain not obvious remaining haz-
rds.
• Minimize remaining hazards by following the in-
structions in "Safety Rules", "Use only as author-
ized" and in the entire operating manual.

8. Use

m CAUTION!
• Never charge batteries below 0 °C or above 40 °C.
• Do not charge batteries in environments with high
humidity or high temperatures.
• Do not cover the battery or the charger during
charging.
Charging
m CAUTION!
Insert original batteries only into the charger.
NOTE
During charging, the battery and the charger will heat
up. That is normal.
• Connect the mains plug with the socket (Fig. 1).

• Fully insert the battery into the charger.
The red LED is on and the green LED flashes, the
battery is charging.
• When the battery has been fully charged, the
green LED will come on.
• If both the red and green LEDs flash, a charge er-
ror has occurred. Check that the battery is insert-
ed correctly. If the error persists after re-inserting
the battery, the battery is defective and must be
replaced.
• A flashing red LED indicates that the charger is
