•
Disconnect the battery cable from the negative pole of the battery.
•
Remove the glow plugs to simplify the rotation of the engine.
•
Make sure that no liquids run onto the toothed V-belts, the gears or tensioners.
•
Turn the crankshaft clockwise.
•
Do not use the locking tool to loosen or secure the cam and crankshaft bolts.
•
It is always advisable to slowly turn the engine by hand and check
the position of the crankshaft and camshaft again.
•
The camshaft and crankshaft should only be turned
when the toothed belt is reassembled.
•
Check the correct position of the diesel high pressure pump after
you have replaced the toothed belt.
•
Observe all tightening torques of the vehicle manufacturer.
•
Always follow the repair instructions of the vehicle manufacturer.
•
An incorrect or incorrect setting of the toothed belt will damage the motor.
