BEFORE THE FIRST USE

1. Remove any packaging materials from the device and dispose of them in order to prevent them from getting
into the hands of children (risk of suffocation). Do not remove labels attached from the product.
2. Wipe the baking surfaces with a slightly moistened cloth or sponge and then wipe dry using soft paper of dry cloth.
3. Connect the sandwich maker to an electrical outlet and allow it to run empty for at least 5-7 minutes in order
to burn surfaces to eliminate any odor.
INFO: When the sandwich maker is first used, smoke and mild smell may appear. This phenomenon is caused by
heating the internal components but disappears in a moment. This is not a defect, but a common phenomenon
for a new product.
USE
1. Cover baking plates lightly with a small amount of butter or edible oil.
2. Connect the sandwich to an electrical outlet. Both lights on the top lid will light up. The red light indicates the
connection to the power supply. The green indicator indicates the heating of the baking plates.
3. For faster warming of the plates, close the sandwich maker.
4. Make sure you prepare your sandwiches before the warming up of the plates. For one standard sandwich you
will need two slices of toast bread and as a filling for example a slice of ham and a slice of hard cheese. Put these
exactly between slices of toast bread. Too many ingredients can cause the sandwich maker to be unable to safely
close. In this case, you need to remove part of the sandwich fillings. Do not close the sandwich with violence,
otherwise it can be damaged by, for example you can break the handle lock.
5. Once the baking plates are warmed to the operating temperature, the green light goes out. Now the sandwich
maker is ready to bake.
INFO: The green baking heater light alternately switches on and goes out. This is due to the function of the ther-
mostat, which ensures a stable operating temperature of the baking plates. Open the sandwich maker and put
one or two sandwiches on the bottom baking tray. Use the handle to close and press the top of the sandwich to
the bottom. Secure the handles with a closing lock.
6. After about 2-3 minutes, release the lock, open the top and remove the sandwiches or, if necessary, extend the
baking time by re-closing the sandwich maker. Only use a wooden or heat-resistant plastic spatula to remove the
sandwich. Do not use a knife or fork or other metal objects. It could damage the non-stick surface.
INFO: The baking time depends on the type of bread, the amount and type of filling and, of course, on your taste.
7. Before making more sandwiches, close the appliance and wait for the green light to go out again.
8. After end of the use of sandwich maker disconnect it from the power socket.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Before cleaning, disconnect the sandwich maker from the electrical socket and let it cool down completely.
• Remove the non-stick surface of the baking plates after each use. This avoids the layering of baked food resi-
dues and thus possible damage to the surface of the baking plates.
• Use a slightly moistened, soft cloth to clean.
• If the food remains on the plates, clean them with a solution of water and regular kitchen detergent.
• After applying the detergent, wipe the plates with a clean, damp cloth and then wipe dry.
• Also use a slightly moistened, soft cloth to clean the outside of the sandwich maker and then wipe dry.
• Do not rinse sandwich under running water or immerse it in water or other liquid.
• Do not use sharp metal tools, brushes, abrasive cleaners, gasoline or other aggressive thinners to clean.
