Special safety instructions

Pay particular attention to the danger of
electrical shocks when the hair clipper is
used in bathrooms in the vicinity of a hand
basin or bath tub, or in the vicinity of water
or other liquids.
The hair clipper must not be used by
children unless supervised by an adult, or by
people with a physical or mental disability
or by people not instructed in the use of the
hair clipper unless a responsible adult takes
responsibility for their safety.
If the cable or plug are damaged, the hair
clipper must no longer be used. Dispose
of it in accordance with the rules for waste
sorting that apply in your area.
Check that the blades are correctly
positioned and do not work loose.
WARNING! Keep the appliance dry.

Before use

Place a towel around the neck of the person
whose hair is to be cut so that the cut hair
does not get on clothes or under the collar.
Comb the person's hair so it is not tangled.
The person's head must be at your eye level
when you cut their hair.

Helpful hints

Cutting hair properly requires a lot of
practice!
Do not cut off too much hair the � rst time
you use the hair clipper.
Do not press on the hair clipper, and do not
push it more quickly through the hair than
it can cut it.
Remember to comb the hair regularly
during cutting so that the cut hair is
removed from the head.
Never use the hair clipper to cut wet hair.
Cutting hair using the comb
attachments
Fix a comb attachment (6) to the hair clipper
(1) by holding it with the teeth upwards and
allowing it to slide down onto the blades (2)
until it clicks into place. When removing it,
carefully � ip it up and remove it.
The comb attachments provide a hair
length of either 3, 6, 9 or 12 mm.
It is best to use a large comb attachment
� rst, and then a smaller one, so you do not
cut off too much hair.
Start by combing the person's hair so that it
sits naturally.
Place the largest comb attachment on the
hair clipper. Turn the hair clipper on using
the on/off button (4) and start cutting the
sides and neck working from the bottom
up. Hold the hair clipper lightly against
the hair, with the � at side of the comb
attachment against the person's head. Only
cut off a small amount at a time.
If you subsequently want to cut the hair
more closely, you can either change to a
smaller comb attachment or carefully press
the clipper close to the person's head.
You can cut the top of the head using the
� at comb (10). Use it to comb the hair up,
and then run the hair clipper over the comb.
You can also cut the top of the head using
the actual comb attachment, but be aware
that even the largest attachment leaves
the hair quite short. Cut from the forehead
towards the top of the head or in the
direction of hair growth.
