Dadurch hebt sich automatisch der konische Teil der Schnüffelsonde aus dem Gehäuse heraus und kann leicht entnommen werden (Abbildung 2-7).

Dieser sollte jede Woche in einem geeigneten Entfettungsbad gereinigt und anschließend mit trockener Preßluft abgelasen werden. Gleichzeitig ist der Verbindungsschlauch zwischen Schnüffelsonde und Gerät auf richtigen Sitz zu prüfen (siehe Abbildung 4-3).
